mohammed iwais (verified) is still the sole provider for his 27 family members, including his siblings and their young kids. his sister is recovering from a quadcopter bullet wound; she's been able to start walking again, but this is still a very difficult time, especially since medicine is prohibitively expensive in gaza right now. on top of that, the whole family is bracing for the changing weather, which will add to their daily expenses just for survival.
they need roughly 7.3k USD to get to their next goal. remember to check the conversion rates! 10 USD = 103 SEK

you may have seen me post about fidaaโs campaign @fidaa-family2 (this is a verified campaign)
graphic by @fading-event-608
fidaa is a 29 year old woman from gaza with two very young children, muhammed and sila, one of whom was born during the war. her home was destroyed and sheโs been displaced many times, and is currently separated from the rest of her family- her husband, her many siblings, and her parents. i can only imagine how nerve-wracking this is.
sheโs doing her best to take care of her children by herself, despite facing hunger, thirst, widespread disease, and the threat of death. the other day, there was intense bombing near her and another family close to her was killed. life in gaza right now is hell and she told me they feel like they are just waiting for their turn to die.
fidaa and i talk often, and i feel lucky to know her. sheโs an incredibly strong person, she travels long distances to find limited supplies for her kids and helps her siblings raise money even though shes separated from them.
but she needs help. the situation in gaza is so bad right now, the idf is preventing aid from entering and the food, water, and medicine available are extremely expensive. please share and donate to help her and her children survive and eventually leave gaza

i was talking to fidaa and she told me her daughter sila is sick and she has been very busy caring for her. it really broke my heart to read these messages from herโฆ i can only imagine how painful it is knowing your child is suffering but having very few means to do anything about it. its so horrific the conditions people are living in right now
pleas keep sharing and donating, your donations are a lifeline to her family
$24,213 raised of $30,000
just a reminder to donate to fidaa, she has been displaced again multiple times recently and only narrowly avoided death when there was bombing near by her. her kids are still sick, and theyre terrified by the bombing. she had to raise the campaign goal due to all the expenses of dealing with displacement and illness, so please share and donate

Jamal Shamia, Iam a criminal lawyer, lam suffering of many diseases hypertension and diabetic mellitus and Muscle spasms and always got shocked and coma
Unfortunately, I was injured in the war and suffered a very serious injury, which was a blood clot in the hip joint area,
which caused him many infections and the infection spread in the area. is currently in Gaza, and my home was destroyed at the beginning of the war. We have lost security and peace. We have witnessed how a single rocket can destroy your entire life, both your past and your future. Our dreams have been shattered. Now the future is unknown and dark. There is no home, no basic life essentials, no job. We are now seeking to leave this country for a life abroad and to obtain security. We estimate our loss to be at least $50,000 to rebuild a home and start our lives anew.
My wife, Mufida, is 62 years old. She traveled before the war to have surgery on her eye alone, and now she is stuck on the Egyptian side. She has no breadwinner and needs many medications and medical supplies.
After that, she suffered a broken hand due to the lack of necessary care for her. I want to collect money to go to her and support her.
Ahmad Jamal Shamia resides in Gaza and is a third-year student in dental school. He lost his education due to the devastating war in Gaza. He was studying at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, and his home was destroyed in the war. He is currently suffering from moving from one temporary shelter to another. Ahmad was a diligent, ambitious, and creative student who ranked first in his class. He didn't limit himself to what he learned in university. He attended courses and workshops online with Egyptian doctors to learn more and excel in his field. He always sought excellence and worked hard for it, and he loved helping all students.
He now needs money to continue his education, which will cost him a lot of money since he will complete his studies in Egypt.
My family is living in extreme danger due to the brutal bombing of their city. There are daily explosions and attacks. The city is no longer safe for them. My family has been unable to work for 11 months due to the war, and they are living on minimal food and water while constantly suffering from fear and shock from the attacks around them. Many in the family have medical needs, and their lives are at risk every moment. Prices have risen in Gaza, and they struggle daily to meet their basic needs.
The family is requesting help to cross the border into Egypt so they can begin rebuilding their lives. Time is of the essence! Help us transport them across the border to Egypt so we know they are safe from the increasing and indiscriminate attacks.
I hope we can work together to help my family leave Gaza. Their escape from the difficulties will only be possible through this fundraising campaign. They are counting on us! Thank you for your support. Thank you for coming together

Please stop neglecting my friend Ahmed's campaign. He has been working tirelessly to maintain the funds coming in for two months, but it has not been successful. What is the issue with his campaign that makes people overlook the fact that his entire family has been trapped in an active genocide for the past year? What additional information is necessary for you to be concerned and contribute funds to my brother Ahmed's campaign?

Hi all, this is Andrea, the organizer for @noorabd1992's campaign. On the behalf of Nour, his wife Dina, and their two children, I just want to thank you all for supporting their campaign. It is thanks to all of your generous donations and the sharing of Nour's post that we were recently able to raise over $5,000. This is enough money to evacuate the couples daughter, Alma and their son, Loai.
We still need to raise $39,751 in order to evacuate the whole family and ensure that they can rebuild their lives in Egypt.
Please donate if you can, and spread this post.

no more horrifying emotion than reloading the gofundme page for my friend's family and seeing it being at the same amount as hours ago. he is a full time dental student while working multiple jobs to try to reduce the amount of money that needs to be crowdfunded.
his family is literally evading bombings every single day (sometimes multiple times a day) for the past 11.5 months. his youngest sister is so chronically malnourished that she doesn't even have the energy to cry out of fear anymore. the ground literally shakes and splinters, huge craters in the middle of neighborhoods. dozens of people still missing under rubble just this week.
if you have literally ANYTHING at all please help this family. this decision to move out of Jabalia to somewhere safer is the last resort and it's looking like it has to happen soon. iof announced the intent to cut off North Gaza from the rest of the strip two days ago, saying Hamas was hiding there amongst civilians. we've heard this excuse being used to justify mass murder multiple times. please DO SOMETHING. i am deathly afraid for the safety of the younger siblings.
only one donation in the past FOUR HOURS. no donations in the past TWO. โฌ61,639 / โฌ70,000 needed. this is life or death. i literally do not know how else to rephrase this. donations dearly needed.

NO DONATIONS FOR MORE THAN AN HOUR. please please please donโt let Hazemโs family campaign stagnate now. Relocation out of Jabalia is an absolute priority
Hazemโs 5 younger siblings have been suffering from severe malnutrition for almost an year now, and this is the 11th consecutive day of escalating bombings and ground attacks on Jabalia and the surrounding neighborhoods. israeli press has leaked the intention to blockade North Gaza because of suspicions of Hamas headquarters, another excuse for a massacre. PLEASE help Hazemโs parents relocate their children for their safety
โฌ66,817 / โฌ67,000 daily goal. We need โฌ183 more to meet this milestone before end of day!!! This is achievable with your help. 3.2k left until relocation fund is met
i am begging people to stick with mohammed @mohdiwais as his campaign continues. he can't afford for engagement to be dropping off when these donations are his sole way of supporting 27 family members. i don't even have the words to convey how terrifying it is for all of them to see hours, or days, stretching between donations.
they are being bombed constantly, they have no home or jobs to return to, their children are severely traumatised. all of them need food, winter weatherproofing, medicine. this isn't a game or a fun post; it's their lives.
i don't know why tumblr has seemingly decided to stop caring about this family overnight but it's terrifying me, too. please toss them a reblog at the very least, and donate what you can spare.

if the condition of the children of gaza doesn't move you, i don't know what will. there is no school this year. there was no school last year either. no clean water or healthy food. no medicines for when they hurt themselves. no toys to play with. no way for them to come out of this genocide unscathed. it's with a heavy heart that i've realized that childhood in gaza is an empty promise.
my friend alaa [ @alaakh998 ] lives in gaza. she has two little kids aged 4 and 6. i cannot help but think about them. how are they doing? what lies in their future? are they okay? I've come to the realization that they wont be safe unless they're able to evacuate from gaza.
the rafah crossing is closed as of now. alaa is fundraising in hopes that she can collect enough money to address her immediate needs and eventually evacuate when the crossing opens. she needs to buy a tent and medicine and supplies and food.
please donate to help her buy these things and ensure her children's well being.

You can call me Abi and I'm making this post on behalf of Khawla Al-reesh. this is Mohiy's sister and you can find him @mohiy-gaza with his own campaign.
Mohiy reached out to me to organize a campaign for his sister as her family of 5 is in dire need of money and support. Her family consists of herself (34), her husband Adel (33), her son Muhammad (5), and her two daughters Sham (3) and Ghazal (1). Muhammad has contracted hepatitis from contaminated water and in need of treatment, and they're in need of money for necessities like food and water in general. when crossing the border once again becomes operational for fleeing Palestinians they'll need to pay $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child.
MOST Importantly however, what they need most is financial help in order to help care for their children in buying food, water, medication, and quality of life materials for their time in encampment.
Please help Khawla and her family to receive needed care and find peace in these trying times.

we go through this every hurricane season but the way people will find any excuse to point the finger at the victims of natural disasters and say cruel shit like "fuck around and find out" like it's not horrifying having to leave behind your home and all your belongings and potentially your pets with the full knowledge that there might not be anything to come back to after... ignoring that there are people that don't have a car or the money to evacuate, ignoring disabled people who have no way to get out, ignoring people that can't find places for their pets to shelter, ignoring people that have medical equipment that can't be moved or replaced, etc... and even if someone stays behind solely because they want to, they still don't deserve to suffer.
as someone who worked extensively in disaster response previously, it is not easy to "just" evacuate, and the relief that comes afterwards is intentionally difficult to obtain. and already the forces that be are trying to spin this narrative that the victims are at fault, to put the blame on them so that if (probably when) people are forced to resort to looting (because the aid never comes) everyone will nod and agree that they're all bad people and deserved it... rather than acknowledging the fact that there was no attempt to make the evacuation accessible and safe for everyone, no guarantee that aid will be waiting for them when they return to a home that has been swept away... no empathy for the fact that these people's entire lives are potentially destroyed with no safety net to catch them.
now that we're starting to see the aftermath and damage done throughout southern appalachia in places like chimney rock (which does not have the infrastructure for this kind of natural disaster. the last time something comparable like this happened was the flood in 1916) please be ready to combat this victim-blaming narrative that will no doubt be weaponized against the people suffering here.
mudslides and flooding will continue even though the storm has passed, and this time following natural disasters like this is the hardest as more people are lost or left struggling without power, aid, or any way to contact help or family.
Thousands told to evacuate their homes in North Carolina after storm Helene shifts north
Our summary of this historic hurricane's swath of destruction. - Articles from The Weather Channel | weather.com
some places in NC are completely inaccessible, towns in appalachia have been completely wiped off the map. chimney rock and lake lure have been devastated. asheville is cut off and only accessible by air.
until the flooding recedes and power is reestablished, we're not going to know the true extent of the damage or how many people have been lost. there are people stranded right now without food or water or medical supplies and no way out. this is catastrophic. these next few days are going to be the hardest as people struggle to get aid with so many roads destroyed.
