this sentimental martyr complex/self-obsessed melodrama masquerading as doing everything for the common good that I find so often/hate in japanese speculative stories, i'm so mad that it showed up in here portrayed in a positive light when in the previous parts of this story such behavior was negatively portrayed.

i feel like isayama was just tired of writing this series so he packed everything into a few end chapters and cut out some stuff that would've made the story morally palatable?
