US Rapper Rick Ross has caused controversy with the Nigerian version of the music video “Hold Me Back”. The video uses the city of Lagos as the central character to illustrate Ross’s lyrics.

While others have praised the music video for its honest portrayal of Nigeria and Lagos, others have criticised the Rapper for ‘insulting, condescending and dehumanising Nigerians’.
