Talking about blogs , or the downsizing of them .

I posted a poll a bit ago inquiring about whether I transition this hub blog into a single multimuse blog . . . the response has definitely proven to be interesting ! And I wanted to take the time to talk about my thought process and where I plan on going . . . for those that care to read this essay that's about to come:

Originally , this blog was going to be a multimuse blog , featuring . . . I think at the time I had like 25 muses in mind ? At the time I got cold feet , feeling as though that would be too many muses pulling for my attention and not enough time to give them all love . . . but then I ended up making like 30 sideblogs for this hub blog , so in reality I ended up at the same destination by just taking a different path .

I started the hub blog idea off the basis of utilizing the 10 carrds that I had , as well as giving people more freedom on which muses they wanted to be exposed to while also opting to choose if they wanted to follow the main blog for my ooc ramblings . . . and while this works to a degree , I also do think it potentially confuses a lot of people . . . especially when it comes to those that have their settings geared towards interactions only being with mutuals .

I think there are merits to both formats , and while I have trauma with trying multimuse blogs in the past . . . surely the third time around would stick the landing ? Right ?

That question has led me to decide to go ahead an slowly transition this main hub blog into a single multimuse blog . . . with some caveats .

What caveats ? Let's talk about them.

@spcrklefingers already has a well established footing , with multiple writing partners attached to it and several threads being discussed . It is for these reasons it will stick as a sideblog to the main multimuse blog . No ships , threads , mains , or exclusives will be discarded ; it'll be as though it is business as per usual .

@changedfate is the newest child to the hub , so it has yet to get a real footing . . . however given the nature of it being centered around a Disney character and Disney IPs ? I think it best to keep it distanced away from the transition . . . meaning that it will also stay as its own single muse sideblog .

So which sideblogs will be condensed into the "Sacred Multimuse Blog" ?

Great question . . .

@cunningvolt , @tealsteel , @signalsearched , and @pcrplelightning will be condensed from sideblogs into the main multi . Let's go over some reasons why.

Anby's blog was going to be condensed into the ZZZ multimuse anyway , and since it makes no since to have a multimuse blog be a sideblog to another multimuse blog ? The ZZZ multimuse blog shall be condensed into the main multi blog . . . albeit with some of the roster being lost in the process .

Which members of the roster ?

Miyabi , Koleda , Nicole , Soldier 11 , Ellen Joe and Grace will all be sealed away in the Destined Vault ™️

This means that along with Anby , Zhu Yuan , and Lucy will make the transition .

Reina's blog is interesting , as I am the only Reina in the Tekken RP space . . . so giving up that branding seems like a major L , but if I am going to throw another Tekken muse on the multi . . . Reina might as well make the jump as well . Hence her sideblog will be dusted .

Ezreal's blog is great branding , but I think it's also tarnished given several missteps and bridges burnt because of said missteps . . . so consolidating him onto the multi is the way moving forward . . . he's too special to give up entirely .

The branding of this main blog (the hubofhellfire name) will stay , the only things that will change being a new carrd and new promo post to coincide with the format change . . . everything else stays the same : all previously discussed threads , ships , memes , plots , etc . all stick around . . . just moved onto a place more easily accessible to all .

I am currently in the process of making all the new assets for this transition (promo pic/post & carrd) and hope to have at least a barebones version of the carrd ready sometime next week; until that time I will continue with things as normal on sideblogs .

It was just another boring Tuesday. Ruby had already invited her out to the arcade later, so Ellen was carefully checking her phone, counting the seconds to when school would be over, when a new student entered the classroom. Her eyes glanced up from her phone before peering back down at the cute shark on her wallpaper. As the new student swiftly moved to the seat behind the Thiren, she unconsciously moved her thick tail to ensure that she wasnt blocking their desk.

After another moment passed, the homeroom teacher came in with a tired grumble and plopped his papers on the podium before clearing his throat to speak to everyone.

"Okay, everyone! Quiet down, quiet down. We have a new student to announce, so - everyone greet Anby and make her feel welcomed."

The classroom rang out into various greetings towards the new student. Some mumbles or clear greetings, and the ever flowery voice of Ruby chiming like a bell over a good portion of the other students. Ellen gave a faint smile before turning to face the newbie and gave a single head nod.

Afterwards, it was normal homeroom. Boring topics, writing notes, listening to the teachers' lame jokes. The bell rang to signal the end of the class as the teacher filtered back out into the hall and the chatter amongst their classmates started back up. A few students clumped together for gossip, some pulled out assignments for their next class, and two girls came over to Ellen to ask her to join the Track and Field club.

"PUH-LEEZE Ellen!! You're so good at the sprinting races and we REALLY need a hand this year to beat our rival school!!"

Ellen gave gentle wave of her hand and a polite monotone reply. "Sorry, my schedule is already booked solid. I can come and cheer you guys on, though."

Anby had seen many things , it was one of the perks of being a hollow raider . . . but the concept of school was entirely foreign to her . . . something she had never experienced for herself outside of movies .

Fortunately , it would not be long until the bell had rung signalling the end of the glass . . . the Cunning Hare would observe as two bizarre girls approached the Thiren ; Anby couldn't help but eavesdrop on the conversation at hand . . . hoping perhaps for any semblance of a further lead in her undercover investigation . Track and Field Club . . . ? Perhaps engaging with the extracurricular activities of the school would provide some assistance in the matter that brought her here in the first place ? It was most certainly worth a slash in the dark .

❝ I'll join . ❞ she spoke candidly , almost to the surprise of the two girls propositioning . . . even raising the eyebrow of the Thiren in front of her , the one Anby was now making eye contact with , ❝ You'll be there to cheer me on ? ❞ poor Cunning Hare . . . not realizing how awkward that statement was , almost as if she was unknowingly being flirtatious with the other .

After a few moments of confused whispering amongst the two club members . . . they would acknowledge Anby once more , accepting her request and providing her with all the necessary information ; after another brief passage of time ? They would see themselves off , leaving the Hare and the Shark alone once again . . . eyes locked but silence between them .

A text message would come through Anby's phone ; after a quick glance at its contents ? She would return her attention to the girl before her , ❝ Nice to meet you , I'm Ripley . ❞ a fake alias , vital to an undercover operation . . . at least that was how it always was in the movies ; nevertheless , the fake school girl extends her hand out to the Thiren . . . a handshake ?

Not wanting to risk exposure , Anby's free hand would slide her phone back into her book bag . . . other hand currently engaged with the woman she was interacting with .

12 seconds . . .

. . . in about 12 seconds ? I'm going to walk through those doors . . . that's a high school , a place where young people go in order to learn knowledge and skills to help them in the real world ; me ? I have never been . . . but I've grown familiar with its customs thanks to numerous amounts of movie nights .

The Demara Girl feels naked in this stolen school uniform . . . a hilarious concept given the lack of attire she uses back home , but it was part of the master plan Nicole had cooked up . . . pose as a student at the school in order to uncover vital information about a treasure trove thought to have been lost to The Hollow many years ago .

Despite the world feeling as though it was moving around her in extreme slow motion ? The aforementioned 12 seconds come to pass . . . and Anby crosses beneath the threshold of the entrance , immediately greeted with an eagerly bustling hallway full of other school attendees ; she closes her eyes for a moment , feeling out of place . . . searching for the character she was supposed to be playing . . . eventually it does come to her , and she begins to make her way down the hallway .

In the movies , the ' nerdy girl ' typically keeps her head down and goes straight to class . . . probability of success ? Likely .

It does not take Anby long to reach the class in question . . . already chalked full of students who could be seen gossiping amongst one another , all the seats appeared to be occupied in some capacity . . . except a singular one by the window sill , behind the girl with the quite obvious shark tail ; doing her best to blend in ? She eventually shuffles her way over to the empty desk behind her . . . taking a seat behind @arctxcambush .

Class should be starting soon . . . I should stay vigilant for the target .

Sure enough , the teacher of the class would come waltzing into the room . . . prompting all the students that were currently chit-chatting to hastily stumble to their seats .

Class was in session .
