m!a : Lavi's a lady for the next three days
The redhead sighed, dropping her fist before placing her hands peevishly on her hips, lips pulled back into a scowl. She knew all too well of Allenâs experiences with them, though in retrospect, they were quite funny, he wasnât quite so amused at the present moment. Then again, their entire group had suffered some pretty humiliating experiences under the hands of those strange people.
"Three days is still three days too long," she responded before her nose scrunched up in mild offense at Allenâs implication. Although Allen did make a pointâŚ
"It isnât that bad," she finally conceded, prodding at one of her breasts, "Just really weird and unexpected. Plus staring at myself in the mirror would be really fuckinâ weird because itâs not the same as checking out a hot babe because itâs still me yâknow?â
Ah, he did have a valid point there. Even if it were a modified version, being sexually attracted to them self would take someone who was on a whole new level of odd vanity.
Allen only briefly considered making the joke regardless, but it seemed that the situation was at least moderately too serious for him to be cracking more than a few jokes. Didn't mean he was done by a long shot, but he should probably take a break on the jabs for a bit.
"I can see your point." He concluded out loud, nodding to himself. "That would be strange...so that aside, what do you plan on doing for these three days, exactly?" Tilting his head to the side he looked at hi-- her curiously. "Hiding?"
faking-pretentiousness started following you
"Ah, hello there." He nodded his head in greeting, and smiled. "Can I help you somehow?"
Aylen did not dare to answer right away as she knew her voice would all but succeed. The faint sound had withered away with her, so weak when used (and used very little).
And yet she had no other choice.
Slowly would her arm release and fall limp by her side, grey gaze casted to the ground. What was she doing here? It was an excellent question, to say the least, though the answer had been lost to her long ago: purpose and direction, null and void. Champagne tiers would slide the slightest bit, opened for a speech that stalled, the truth that she had forgotten in the midst of her troubles.
âI came here to find you.â
Her voice was but a whisper against the silence, some unknown strength pulling her head up to face her comrade. Honesty flickered in her smoky hues, unsure of what else to say, seemingly amazed that the words were even uttered coherently. Thatâs right. Thatâs why. âIâŚI left to find you. And to make sure you were okay.â
Palms shook as she reached out once more, fingertips barely brushed the fabric upon his arm in a feeble attempt to grasp some sort of solidity in the conversation. Aylenâs eyes never left Allenâs. Her voice was beginning to crack, though she couldnât quite hear it.
âYouâre okay?â
Looking at her then, it brought about a feeling in Allen he couldn't quite decipher. He could say he was scared, ridden with awful feelings and self deprecation, thought hidden underneath was this silver lining of relief at seeing her face once again. She looked so lost-- so startlingly young that Allen had to remind himself just how old she was.
Just how old he was.
It was painful-- so suffocating was the knot that slowly twisted itself in his throat, he swallowed down on it as he brought his own hand to up to rest atop of hers and take hold of it. For a moment he stood there, unsure of what of thousands of things he could say to say first, of so many actions he could commit would actually make a difference then.
Silence fell between them, and Allen swallowed again as he pulled her hand, placing it to rest just in the middle of his chest. He waited longer, closes his eyes and feeling the dull throb of his own heart between the cracks in her fingers, and moved his hand to give her wrist a gentle squeeze as he opened his eyes again.Â
"I'm alive." He said softly, watching her face as he spoke. "I might not know what exactly 'okay' is right now, but I'm alive-- I still have hope."Â
Letting a small, genuine smile come to his face slowly, he reached out to wrap his arms around her in a loose embrace, ready to pull away from her at any moment she saw fit. "I'm alive." He murmured, "And so are you."
"HmâŚ" She stepped closer, leaning forward until their noses were practically touching. She continued to stare at him for a few seconds before gently pressing kisses to his cheeks.
"Bonjour Monsieur, Iâm not sure why you look so much like me, but its nice to meet you.~"
"Eh--" Despite his at least decent knowledge of different worldly customs, he did still have to admit her actions caught him a bit by surprise. "Oh, uhm..."
"Yes, pleased to meet you too. I'm Allen Walker." He smiled at her politely, "And you are?"
m!a : Lavi's a lady for the next three days
Lavi rolled her eyes, crossing her arms before clarifying,âThe other grey creeps. Those weirdâŚâ she paused, gesturing wildly as she tried to remember what they were called,ââmystical anonymousâ freaks or whatever.â
At his next words though, the redhead was just about ready to sock the teen in the face, because she was completely aware that he was being a little shit.
"Iâll show you something if you donât shut up,â she huffed, shaking a fist threateningly before begrudgingly answering his inquiry,âThree days.â
His-- er, her reaction merited a small chuckle, and he quickly held his hands up in front of himself defensively with a grin. "Yeah, yeah! I got it-- and to clarify, I know those grey faces quite well, too." Better than he ever would have liked to, in fact.
"Three days isn't that long, right? It shouldn't be that bad." Though, speaking of not that bad...
"You know, I'm honestly surprised you're not enjoying this more than you are." Maybe he wasn't giving the redhead enough credit, but for someone like Lavi he thought suddenly being endowed with a pair of breasts would have caused some excitement.
melody--of-death started following you
Oh, what fresh hell was this?
[ i think its time for a quick break ]
"Mon DieuâŚ"
There was a familiar throb from his left eye, probably something worth noting but he was too busy staring at-- a mirror?
No, wait...This was too weird.
"...Uh..." Consider Allen Walker; utterly floored.
traitorousakuma started following you
"He...llo...?"
Wait a second.
m!a : Lavi's a lady for the next three days
Lavi froze up at the voice, her shoulders hunching up with anxiety for a moment before they dropped again and she turned around with a short, nervous laughter. A sheepish smile pulled at her lips as she scratched at the back of her head awkwardly.
"Well," the redhead began, in a voice that was foreign to his own ears,"Remember those weird grey faced creeps? They turned me into a girl."
"Why it's the Noah and not them we're concerned with his beyond me..." Allen muttered, more so to himself than Lavi as he took another look over the expanse of his friend's new body. Though he didn't make a habit of staring at women so extensively, he wasn't as worried considering he was sure, for the most part, Lavi had remained Lavi. "...Hmmm...this is certainly something."
"At least you make a very lovely woman?" He said, and it was with that innocent looking expression and naive sounding voice, the ones that made you question if he was actually teasing  you or not. Though if you knew him well enough, it was probably obvious. "How long's your sentence?"Â
It wasnât that she was mad, per say. Emotion had come scare these days; she couldnât have possibly been angered. It was more a hollowed out numbness upon seeing his visage, an echo of a time long lost that she couldnât quite cover as well as she wanted to. Then again, maybe she was just tired.
She was always tired.
Though those words were sincere, but a tinge could be resounded in her small heart, ghost of a smile barely gracing her fair features. Perhaps it was entirely blank or maybe it could have been taken as hurt, but as she reached out to ruffle the elder maleâs hair, not a spark of sentiment could be felt from her touch.
âItâs okay.â
It was always okay.
It was cold.
Not only that, but eerily familiar-- reflected in her was a deep seeded numbness he had known since his escape, the dreary inkling of exhaustion that seeped into your bones and made your foundation ache with a sadness and longing that he wouldn't wish upon his worth enemy. It was truly a perfect painted picture of loneliness.Â
Something he had wished so deeply he'd never have to see, praying with all his might that he might be able to once again bask in the shimmer of innocence that had one resided in her eyes. They were too empty. Too familiar, in the worst kind of way.
But he dared not to speak of it. Couldn't fathom questioning so suddenly all the things she might have endured, the pain she may have had inflicted upon her in his absence. Guilt and anger swelled at his chest, clawing at his throat and the tip of his tongue with tallons-- but he dared not to let it free.
"...What are you doing out here, Aylen?"
