I just love this quote. It’s so easily overlooked, seen as unimportant, until you see the prequels. Because then you realize how utterly true and heartbreaking that phrase is. “He died about the same time your father did.” Meaning that Obi-Wan, that is, everything that made him who he was, his faith, his joy, his light, was murdered, killed, at the same time that Anakin was lost to the Dark Side. When Anakin became Vader, Obi-Wan became Ben. Anakin and Obi-Wan died together on that planet. Only Vader and Ben left it alive. One full of hate and darkness, the other a broken shell that was merely existing, not even really living. These two men were so deeply entwined, so bonded together in the force, that when one died, so did the other. That is the real definition of true love.
did you really need to
this was sad enough
So this is a story about a girl called Winnie, she was in her grandparents house and she was bored as hell. So Winnie went into the attic and there she found this box. There was nothing in the box except two socks, they were mysteriously mesmerizing so she took them out of the box to show her grandpa. When he saw the socks he started uncontrollably sobbing for 3 seconds then slapped the socks from Winnie's hands and left running. Winnie shrugged this off as elderly behavior so she picked the socks again and headed over to her grandma's room. The grandma saw Winnie come all the way from the other side of the hall, so she closed the door before Winnie got there and screamed TO STAY AWAY. Winnie shrugged this off again and went outside, she sat down on the outside of the house, and decided to just put the socks on. When she put the socks on Winnie just vanished in place and the socks fell back to the ground. Late at night, Winnie's uncle arrived home, he saw the socks and shook his head, picked them up and put them in the attic again. He really thought his parents would stop taking them out since it's hard to get up there at their age, but they kept doing it everyday, as if this would help bring her back.

A racist woman is not a feminist; she doesn’t care about helping women, just the women who look like her and can buy the same things she can. A transphobic woman is not a feminist; she is overly concerned with policing the bodies and expressions of others. A woman against reproductive rights — to use bell hook’s own example, and an issue close to your heart — is not a feminist; she prioritizes her dogma or her disgust over the bodies of others. An ableist woman is not a feminist; she holds some Platonic ideal of what a physically or mentally “whole” person should be and tries to force the world to fit inside it.
