this week i finished another ring racers project: a sprite overhaul mod for mighty that brings him closer in-line with most of the game's character sprites using his segasonic sprites as a basis! you can find the mod here on the srb2 message boards

so my vision with these was that "hm what if i could hypotetically use these for a game" so i built them all with the concept of exporting it to roblox in the back of my mind that means a lot of stuff is still segmented (yes including the spines, ears n tail) but that almost all the expressions were handled via bones

was it optimal for animation? oh not at ALL. but given the main reason i wanted to add expressions (hypothetical dynamic changing of the face for ciertan actions(ocm models look really dead so i wanted to do the opposite of that it's ok trust me ok)) i though it'd be the best fit from the little i know of roblox dev i know you can mix animations togheter, so i was thinking all the expressions would be different animations with frames set to constant that get added or replaced depending on what's happening in the game

probably not how it works at all but listen it sounded cool to me oh yeah here's knuckles too

same things to note as sonic yadda yadda i didnt really do much with this guy Hell he barely has a rig and honestly looks a little weird But i liked him a little oh and tails is just dead. image says it all

very unfortunate i didnt get to finish these before the game died. my interest was already kind of falling apart given how badly managed the game was And by the time 0.2 rolled around i basically just did not care anymore fast forward to now Everything is falling apart and i'm glad i didnt end up doing these things cuz Oh lord i couldve been in some hot waters excuse the long ranting I dont tend to use tumblr often so being able to just ramble on without worrying about a character limit is quite refreshing ty for reading!! hopefully you arent dissapointed by my lack of Anything to show Which tbh i wouldnt blame you. i DO think i couldve finished this if i kept my pace but i didnt really care about the game that much to begin with so it was probably a losing horse anyway here's a few poses i did with sonic to end the thread off. once again ty for reading
