oh whats this? A certain Fairy wolf decided to come out of the Weld for once and pay his adopted pup a visit. Bede is getting hecking slobbery woof kisses.

Ah heck, he’s getting all the slobbery woof kisses in the world, He can’t help but laugh regardless. After all how could he not appreciate the lovely fairy wolf who came out of the weld themselves to see him, Hands reach up and pet over blue fur, Pink braids carefully pet so they don’t have to be redone.

“W-well hello! It seems all the wolves are coming out this month, I recently saw Zamazenta…I missed you, I’m sure you had a wonderful nap or whatever you were doing..y’want some curry?”

He’s sure it wouldn’t take to long to make a pot of it for the legendary.

Oh and that got a tail wag from the large Blue canine. 

“Ah! you’ve met Zamazenta? Truly you must be blessed to have seen both of us in such short time.” He paused to rub his face against the boys. “I missed you as well pup, I had a wonderful nap, but I think it’s time I stretched out my old bones for a bit. I would love some, if it is no trouble for you”

Dont mind him while he stretches himself out, before laying down on the grass, and rolling around.

“Whhh! Zacian!”

He’d been trying to look at some of the glowing night flowers at the edge of the slumbering weld when he found himself lifting off the ground and a certain scarred wolf was holding him in his mouth by his coat, leaving him perfectly dangling like a pup.

“I was just trying to-!”

Yes he knew it was like four am, that didn’t mean anything-

Truly an amusing sight to behold....a large Blue wolf carrying a human child in his mouth....said human taking to curling up just enough to look like a puppy. He’ll admit, he found it funny enough to chuckle at the child. He had set out to scold the human for wondering close to the Weald this time of night...after all, the nocturnal beasts were out and about, and probably hunting for their next meals.

But in that moment, he found his anger melt away. 

“Now now pup...what were you trying to do? You should know the dangers of the weald at day....at night it’s even more so.” He spoke, but kept the boy in his grasp.

“I..yes, a stew in a way, it’s a nice way to bond with pokemon, To settle down after a long day of travel or after a particularly hard battle. Food and some time to play with toys, I don’t get much along well wit’ other people but i enjoy time with my pokemon a lot.”

He’s starting to dump things into the pot now, A thing of hamburgers, some sausages and of course various berries, roots and herbs collected both from the wild and bought at the local grocer before starting to push some kindling under the full pot and using a lighter to start a small controlled ember. Finally pulling out a wafting fan and starting to shift it up and down to get the fire to grow (After all cold curry was disgusting in his opinion-)

“It’s a lot of hard work, but a good bond with your partners is admired all around, since every pokemon is different in personality and what they like.”

“Ah, much like how human’s in ancient times would bond with their partners....I must say, I like the idea of this...I hope you don’t mind me watching. Even this old dog can learn a few new things”

And watch he did, every step the boy did, with vested interest. A lot of the berries and herbs were things that grew all about the wild area...how cleaver that human’s managed to find use for them in such a way! Slowly the wolf would move just a bit closer...inch himself closer and closer to watch...and sniff of course. 

“Hard work always pays off in the end Pup...it’s important to understand your partners in order to work seamlessly with them after all...but perhaps that is just the barking of an old wolf who has seen many things in this world. Where do you hail from child, if I may ask?”

“I suppose you are right brother....today is a day of rest.” He still has a strange feeling it was more then that...but, perhaps this old wolf is just paranoid...But...he did take to laying himself down.

Custos is going to do everything he can today to prevent Zacian from leaving the Weald. It's not safe out there today.

His Brother was acting strange....he assumed it was because the shield could sense something wrong, or perhaps he was worried. Either way...something was going on since the Shield would not allow him to leave the area. 

“What troubles you Brother”?

Golden eyes watched the others paw, the beckoning motion…and his eyes softened just a little, jaw relaxing. 

“Perhaps they won’t…but one must always be ready for an attack….you never know…” His voice faded towards the end, his brother need not a lecture from him…the shield knows just as well of the dangers of the world. “Of course, you have had a tough time of it brother, and I will keep by your side, as long as you need” He moved to lay next to the shield, carefully placing his sword back down at his side, but still within reach. 

“Well it doesn’t exactly help that we hide ourselves within the fog of the Weald almost constantly. To them we are but ghosts of a past they know little about.”

Custos’ gaze drifted towards the ground, ears folding down. Perhaps that lecture would’ve been better for the one who fell. But at least he would do good in his stead. “I will recover quickly, as always. I have the better healing out of the two of us, being the defender…it’s necessary.”

As the other lay next to him, his weight shifted to lean against his brother. “Thank you.”

“Very true, Brother.....maybe it is time we show ourselves once more, show them that we are not ghosts...perhaps I just need to rest and calm thyself”

He stayed still so that his brother may rest against him, even taking to licking at any wound he happened to see. “I know Brother...which is why I am not more angry then I am now. You heal faster then me...I’ve not seen you keep a limp like I do”

“Your Welcome, my brother”

He’s gonna get affection in the form of an old wolf licking his face like he’s grooming a small pup…and he’s going to like it >:C

And to late, There’s no way to escape Zacian’s grooming affections, after all trying to repel a yamper was hard enough but this was a much, MUCH bigger yamper and there was nothing to repel them. He’d be left all kinds of drooled on by the end of this.

There is no escape for the Pink lad...he’s stuck getting groomed by an old wolf, and will only be released once the canine feels he is clean enough...and mostly covered in slobber.

“..No i suppose i’m not out of the woods, Somehow i can’t say i entirely want to be though..this place is, Beautiful. I couldn’t have imagined it lay hidden in the fog, I don’t quite think i’ve seen anything quite the same in the rest of galar.”

He’s sure some area’s came close, But no, they didn’t truly match, This place was just, Different. It held a different air to it, It wasn’t solemn, Nor’ was it happy. It seemed so different from the rest of the galar region, Just this little place separate and untouched by time.

“I have, Once…Zacian, It was behind a set of ruins that i…might have had a hand in destroying. I was. Misguided in that mistake but i thought it looked like you at least, There was two though, You..i assume and. Another, but curry…how do i explain….it’s..a lot of things, Depending on how you make it. But it’s, Almost like a stew? Maybe?”

How DOES one go about explaining curry when it has more then a hundred different combo’s, flavors and makes, Perhaps, He’d make a sausage curry. They were a wolf, Wolves ate meat…or maybe hamburger, Maybe both?

“Not many have seen this area, it is...very much untouched by human hands. Since you have already seen it, you are welcome to stay as long as you would need and like to.”

To him, even tho he spent quite a bit of time in Glimwood, this area was his truest home, where he felt the calmest and safest. His ears twitched...statues hidden behind human ruins? and this pup destroyed those ruins? Perhaps not all humans are willing to forget the past it seemed. “Ah...I suppose I could thank you for bringing those statues to light once more then.” He left it at that for the time being...frankly, he was more pleased that the statues can now see the light of the sun once more. 

“A stew?” Zacian seemed interested...so much so he rose to come closer and sit himself down by the pot, curiously tilting his large head. “I’ve seen human’s cook this for themselves, and their pokemon before. Is this how human’s bond with their partners now a days?”

The wolf had managed to calm himself just slightly…there is no need in getting riled up at a time of crisis like this…much be level headed and able to cast proper judgement. Not a moment later, he bent to gather up his sword once more, gripping the blade tightly in his jaws. 

“Until we know more of your attacker…it is best we stay close by one another. Rest yourself within the Weald. Should they come, we will be ready”

“Sometimes there are those, who just wish to bring things to an end…could just be another one of those apocalyptic cults like in the olden times.”

Gaze followed the other as he went to pick up his sword again. He could see the tight grip, and the tension of it. His raised paw waved Zacian over to him, ears twitching.

“I do not think they’ll attack again soon, they were given a right thrashing.” And they think he’s dead. “Come brother, rest with me for a little while…I could use a bit of comfort.”

“..How can i not thank you already? i would still be wandering in the woods with no semblance of where to go.”

He’d..admit, he stared at those scars as he waited for the revives to do their job, But only briefly before he decided to set up his little curry pot to, Sure it wasn’t big, big but he’d always found it enough for him and his team. It was unfoldable to so he it was easy to set up on it’s little legs and dig into his pack for what he could make, Maybe something sweet? no. Spicy? no, Maybe a mix of both..?

“Bede ‘rose’ Archambeau is my full name, but just. Bede is fine, do…you have a name? you remind me of that statue i saw once..It was hidden behind some ruins.”

Ruins he destroyed which cost him his trainer career…but he couldn’t dwell on that now.

“..do..do you..like curry..?”

“Your words are true...you would still be in there if not for my interference. However...you are not completely out of the woods yet young pup...you can thank me properly once I get you back to human society”

Zacian always had the mentality of ‘never let your guard down’...and it was made more apparent with his words, despite this area being free and clear of fog and wild beasts. But, he did manage to lay his head down for a moment, just to watch this young man. He had seen trainer’s of this day and age use pots like that to make food out in the wild.

“Bede? I will remember your name” He spoke, eyes closing for a moment in thought. “I Do not possess a name, but I am known as Zacian. You seen a statue resembling me?” He was a little surprised at this....he had thought the human’s had long since forgotten of his existence...but to know it was hidden...told him that human’s did not want his existence known.

“Curry? I...have not but an idea what that is”
