Heyyyyy Tumblr people. On Jan 2nd, 2025, I awoke to my car missing. When I called it in, the cops had already been notified of a trashed, abandoned car matching my vehicle description...

Some kids, to my best knowledge, busted my window and hotwired my car, ran over city signs with it, leaving pieces of it all over the boulevard. Then they took it up into the hills, and drove it til they wrecked into a mountainside. Then proceeded to stomp, destroy, bust and rip out every window, panel, bumper and electrical. And slashed the tires of course.

I'm just a line cook. This car was my only asset of value, and happened right in my hometown. Even if i can lead the cops to who did it (because they aren't looking on their own...) I won't get $ for a car (my insurance was liability only...I needed a low bill) so I started a gofundme. It's a really crap way to start the new year, and that car is the only NEW thing I had ever owned; it would be 10 years this August since I bought it and it only had 10k miles on it from a lease. When it was destroyed, I had 165k miles on that baby. So I'm just asking, if you have read this far, please share if you cant donate or please let people know!

Yikes. 7 months later and still borrowing vehicles to work. Have about $800 from the fundraiser. Had to use $500 to get tires for the car i was using from a family member. October dump::: TL;DR

Big update cuz i never post here....

Rent got raised again, over $400 more expensive than 3 years ago and I still make the same income.Moving is the only option, but we are gonna just struggle one more year and try to find ways to save money to get outta here....

Meanwhile, my boyfriend and I live in a duplex, as in.. he is in the back unit and I'm in the front(something we decided to do after our neighbors moved out-more space for us and no new weird neighbors, but rent doubled for us cuz we paid for a unit each...) So, I had my senior mom move in with me last year to help HER with bills and be there for her if she had an emergency, but also so she could take some stress off of me financially. But for my boyfriend, he can't do this rent anymore. He has a home he owns, it's a 25 mins drive from us now and 30 min drive to work for him, and its an awful little FEMA mobile home after a wildfire took his..but he owns it and won't have to pay rent. As depressing as the area is, he is moving to his house. For 10 years, we have worked together or in close proximity to each other, and for nearly 8 years, we have been dating and living with or next to each other....we stopped working together in February when a business we worked at closed down and he went to a previous employer and I went back to a different previous employer and now he'll be a good drive away, and we work overlapping days and hours so...it will be so hard to see him...and our puppy (his dog... definitely a daddy's boi...)

So both households have been downsizing, cleaning, selling and rearranging to better get him moved and he moves TOMORROW :(

Amidst all that, i helped plan and cook for my oldest niece's baby shower. She is more like my little sister cuz we are so close in age...it has been emotional. Time just absolutely got out of wack for me this month with Halloween, multiple birthdays, moving a household over 35 miles away.

Also have found one of my favorite hair color combos/styles and was Medusa for work Halloween night. Hopefully by Thursday I can have a full costume made and not just the headpiece and makeup...but at least I've gotten to find some fun in doing my hair and makeup again.

It's soup season at work and that's my calling, too. I've made Creamy garlic-potato soup, Brisket,beer n' onion soup, hearty smoked turkey noodle soup, prime rib beef stew...and I warmed up some Splash Cafe brand clam chowder ;) and making special signs at work and posting to media. I feel seen and appreciated for all my arts again..speaking of...I started art again. Have been pouring and painting, wire-wrapping etc. Trades and sales...so that makes me happy. That's it. That's my fucking life. Just...making shit. Trying to clean shit. Trying to save money or sell shit to make rent. Might sell panties soon. Any good sites? Lol. Anyway, I love to create. So if you DO need something made whether it's a painting or resin project or... wand made of real wood and crystals with real metal wires...or a wrapped dab tool or crystal pendant...or maybe some weird crown or tiara that's so niche and specific you can't find the right one? Well. I can do that.
