Although Max was not thrilled to move to Destiny Isle as a teenager, it eventually became a place he grew to love as he settled in and created a family of his own here. He and his sister moved to the isle one Halloween and he wasnāt all that thrilled about the magical aspects theyād heard about ā to him, it was just a bunch of hocus pocus. He was proven wrong to be a skeptic though when the virgin lit the black flame candle and brought back the Sanderson Sisters, a trio of witches who had wreaked havoc in the area hundreds of years ago. With the help of the girl of his dreams and a cursed talking black cat, he and Dani survived the ordeal and even somewhat lifted Thackery Binxās curse, and Max is forever grateful that the traumatic experience brought him closer to his future wife Allison.
Heād never met someone like her and he was head over heels from day one. His disinterest in the isle faded rather quickly and it didnāt take long for the two to become official. It may have seemed cheesy but they became high school sweethearts, and the two continued building a life together after high school. They waited to eventually get married until after finishing their bachelor degrees, Max going to school for teaching history and Allison choosing law school, and it was once Allison finished law school two years later that they had their daughter, Poppy. With Allison so career focused and having worked so hard on her law degree, Max was okay with stepping down to part time teaching in order to spend more time raising their daughter. He hardly believes sometimes how much his life has changed since moving here as the annoyed and grumpy teen that was new to the isle, but he is grateful for the way that things have turned out.
Headcanons
Drumming is still one of Maxās passions to this day but he hasnāt had as much time to do so after becoming a father. Thankfully he still has time here and there to give drumming lessons occasionally when Dani or Binx are able to step in and babysit.
He can still be somewhat of a skeptic when it comes to magic but heās definitely much better about it than he was back then. He was the one who warned binx to be careful when binx approached him for advice about dating a witch, but heās glad that it turned out to be a positive experience for him in the endĀ

He loves being a dad. A part of him wants him and Allison to have another kid (he wants to try for a boy next) but he knows thatās a big ask with how much Allison works. Heās content either way on whether they only have Poppy or if they try for another childĀ
