Does a painting ever stop you. The first time I saw a Picasso in person, I was frozen. The pressure of needing to keep moving through this enormous museum was hanging over my head, but I didn't want to move. I've spent some time trying to recreate that feeling in my own work. It's hard because your own humility doesn't let you pause for too long. But once in a while, one of them grabs me. Today it was this one.
