for those who are not familiar with dan the man, it's an action platformer made by halfbrick studios (they made fruit ninja and jetpack joyride) based off of a webseries by the same name, you can download it on google play and the app store but to be completely honest if you want to experience the game at its best and have an android device I strongly recommend downloading and installing dan the man version 1.1.5 and playing it with no internet connection (this last part is pretty important since turning on internet while the game is open will kick you out to the main menu and brick your game with a "please update your game to continue playing!" message which only disappears if you update). modern versions of the game are cool too and have some things that aren't present in 1.1.5 but in terms of the singleplayer main story campaign you should really play it on 1.1.5. if you don't have an android device then there's a premium package which is a one time purchase of like ~$4 which removes all ads and makes the game way more playable by making it feel like you're playing 1.1.5

Dan the Man has 39 achievements that are awarded to the player after performing various tasks: some are awarded for story progression, other

remarkable: after 2 years I finally decide to push an update to the site. since there are 39 achievements I instead of putting 39 sections and having the table of contents be completely unusable I put a beautiful little drop down menu that lets you see any achievement your heart desires. given how many achievements there are this one is still in progress, but the main achievements page and the first few achievements are done. I shine a bit of light into the save file structure in this, you should check it out.

Points (or score) are given upon completing any level, story levels and arena levels alike, and serves to rate the player's performance in the level. The impact of the score on completion depends on the game mode, sometimes giving the player stars and other times simply being listed with no completion attached to it. The exact method of computing the score depends on the game mode, as both the categories that make up the final score and how said categories are calculated vary based on the game mode.

Shops are places where you can buy items to be used within levels using coins. With the exception of 8-0-1 and 8-0-3, shops appear in every story level in the game, including those of the side stories. There are also vortex shops, which appear before an arena in arena modes where you can again buy items and/or use powerups. Here you'll find the inventory of every shop and every vortex shop in the game along with the mechanisms behind the prices of items.

made my first real page today! it’s about the various shops in the game! the inspiration behind this one is that I was already looking into documenting every story mode level’s shop data in preparation for routing full story/full chapter runs of v1.1.5 since you can carry weapons between levels and it might in some cases be faster to pass by a shop, and I happened to find that there’s actually a lot of interesting info to be found about shops. I then went on to look at all the vortex shops too, since I may as well be thorough, and now I have all the things that weren’t parts of events (I’ll get to that at some point too, don’t worry). still missing some info though, check the bottom of the article to see how you can help me out!
