You know, all the wedding drama Iāve been witnessing recently got me thinking. I want my wife to call me, your royal husbandness.
"I feel bad for your wife."
"Would you like some help fixing that?"
I obviously wouldnāt go with him, I just mean convince him to go. But alone.
Eighteen
He laughed a little and walked into the elevator, waiting for her to join him before replying. āWell what I do remember was someone coming to me, angry, talking about how idiotic everyone else was. But we knew deep down they were just dying to be us. And it was fun until it got exhausting.ā College was just one example of how they were always each otherās rocks, they had intelligence, money and good looks, on the outside they were everything many people dreamed of being, and seeing how much they had accomplished only with sixteen year old certainly unnerved a good amount of people. But being in contact with things such as jealousy and the absurd hate that came with it, was a very high price to pay for all that they had and all that they were. However they stood by each otherās side and they end up fine. Always the beautiful geniuses. Always best friends, through everything. āDo you remember the night of the lanterns at our last year?ā He asked quietly, that night had been something else, everything illuminated only by the lanternās light, it was quite beautiful.
She smiled remembering lantern night. The night of the lanterns always felt like a place to go to for a romantic time with that special someone. Nicole couldn't believe that he remembered that place and actually taking her. "I love the lanterns..beautiful place...with the lighting." Nicole smirked trying not to drift off too much into her thoughts about it.

Once they reached the elevator, he pressed the button and as they waited for it, he leaned against the wall, and said. āYes, it was. I donāt think anyone had to grow up faster than we did, huh?ā He remember that time, when they felt like everything was different, like they were free, like they could change the world, until they realized that their obligations would always imprison them. Well, better saying, he did. She was still as fearless and brave as she always had been, and God, he loved her for it. āDo you remember how they looked at us in college? Wondering what the hell were we even doing there? I mean, how old were we when we got in? Sixteen, seventeen?ā
She smiled leaning on the opposite wall of him. The two of them, beautiful geniuses. "I was sixteen. I remember I had to pass all these silly tests to prove I was smart." Remembering the memories at college, she was looked down by the other girls because of both her beauty and brain, also for being so young. "Where are you taking me?"

Lex opened the door for her, and while waiting for the girl to step out of the apartment, he said. āDo you ever missed how it used to be when we were eighteen?ā
She stepped before him, and after he had walked out the door with her, she locked it before walking beside him. "Eighteen years old. Eighteen was so long ago, Lex." Nicole blushed remembering all the fun times they had back then. "I do miss it, but we can still do all those fun things now, can't we?"
Eighteen
His smile becoming impossibly wider, he reached out his hand to the girl, her laugh gave him joy and it was something he would be content to hear it for the rest of his life. āYou look beautiful.ā Alexander said in a soft tone. āCan we go now?ā
"Thank you, and yeah of course." She smiled. "Where are you taking me, Alexander?"
Listen, we have a master conference coming in switzerland, I think, maybe we can convince Lex to go, and maybe without him here, I can find a way to stop all of this. A way to stop my parents.
She felt like her heart skip a beat. Switzerland? She thought to herself. Her closest friends both leaving the country. Nicole doesn't want that, she had no one else she liked, and no one else who like her. Feeling a little bit heart broken, she soon spoke. "H-Ho-How long would you two be gone for?" speaking softly she didn't know if Natasha had heard her.

Alexander looked around the apartment for a minute, a worried expression clouding his features, was everything okay with her? Did something happened and he hadnāt been there? It was just some of the things that went through his mind. But that all disappeared at the moment he saw her. Alexander couldnāt help the smile that instantly made its way to his face as he waited at the bottom of the stairs. He had always considered Nicole the most beautiful woman heād ever met. But at that night, it was different, it was like she had found a way to be even more beautiful, though he never believed that was even possible. Now with the way he looked at her, like she was this treasure he had only just found, one could almost swear they had never seen each other before, that he had never paid attention to see just how special she was, that only now he was looking at her. But even with that look, he knew deep down she was the same, and her eyes held the unmistakable pure light that had always been so familiar, that he always admired. And she managed to make him more nervous than ever.
"Hi." It was all he could think of saying and his mind almost growled at him. Hi? Really Lex? He mentally punished himself. But he hoped that would show her just how anxious he was for that night, how much he couldnāt wait to have a night of peace with her. At that moment he almost laughed, remembering a part of his day, it had been funny, he had been nervous waiting to go see her, so much so that his personal assistant kindly suggested he should leave the company earlier. There was no doubt Nicole was more than just his best friend, she was his center, his safe haven, his source of courage, and as he thought about losing her completely he felt an unbelievable pain going through his very being.
Pushing those thoughts away, Alexander went up one step just to get closer to her more quickly. He wouldnāt think about her leaving and he wouldnāt let her. She was the one person he was willing to fight for, against his parents and the world if it proved necessary.
"...Hi." She smiled. Unsure if she was over dressed, not having any idea what he had planned for their date. "I can change if it's too much." Nicole felt nervous now, like as if she was going on a date with a guy she had just met. It was a good feeling having adrenaline, the feeling of being alive with emotions.
Taking a step forward, she smiled. "Unless you like the outfit...I'll keep it on." She blushed letting out one of her British giggles unsure what else to say. Nicole just didn't want to embarrass herself before their date.
Eighteen
He rang the bell and patiently waited at her door. Lex had been anxiously waiting for that night, there was so much happening at once, for one this was the first time they went in an actual date, the first time they even contemplated the idea of being more than just best friend and only that itself should be enough to make him nervous. But it was Nicole after all, in the end he knew things would be perfect no matter what happened. However there was something between them now. He knew by then Natasha would probably have told her about his parents plans for him, but what she didnāt know was just how far things had gone, and he was somewhat terrified of her reaction. āNicky?ā He called out when the door didnāt opened. It was probably just his anxiety making him impatient, but every moment he couldnāt see her seemed like an eternity, it made him feel like he had lost her. And there was no doubt that if he did, it would be the end for him. It was at that moment that he promise himself to stay silent about the marriage situation for as long as he possibly could.
Nicole didn't expect Lex to ask her out, she was still trying to cope with it. Natasha had told her about the forced marriage and of his parents. She's been trying to process it for a couple days now, and now was the night of her date. Nicole didn't know how long she had held in the tears, it was until she was in the shower that she had cried. She only wanted Lex happy, and she knew that she could make him happy but her biggest worry was his parents to take him away from her, forever.
The shower took longer than she intended. Looking at her cellphone that was sitting on the toilet, she had to rush to get ready. After drying herself off, she had let her hair go naturally wavy. It took her twenty minutes to figure out what to wear, she knew it was just Lex but she wanted to look good and impress him. Nicole had slipped on a skirt, with a cute top. Hearing the door bell she cursed in her British accent looking at the time again. She didn't rush to get the door, she was not ready to reveal herself.
When she had heard his voice, he had let himself in. Nicole was just finishing up her make up. She smiled when she heard the nickname, she always loved it when Lex had called him Nicky. After a quick touch of her hair, she slowly walked down the steps of her stairs to see him. "Sorry to keep you waiting...I was running a little late, couldn't figure out what to wear." It was a girly thing to say, she felt girly in her skirt but she also felt sexy hoping that Lex liked her choice of clothing for their date.
Richard Vission & Static Revenger, I Like That (Ft. Luciana)
Heās a good person, isnāt he? Heās always been there for me, for you and for Anya. He was always there for her. They were always there for each other, and for us. Heās just lost, right?
"He is a great person, I can see it in his eyes." She thought about him, all the good things he has done for her. He did ask her out and she said yes, but the problem was his parents. "He's...he'll be okay, but I don't think he's lost. Not yet."
Of course it is. He deserves to be with someone he can love.
Of course he does.
"So consider this conversation over, and I will be walking away now."
Why not?
"It does not define yes or no.."
You canāt?
"Being forced into marriage is wrong."
