I wouldn't have guessed that I'd end up being the one at the front of the classroom, or that the room would be full of the littlest kids. Even as surprising was finding myself drawn to the bright lights of New York City after college. But my friends, the people I call 'family' are here, as well as some new faces, and I feel like I can do anything. It's been a long road, but my story has only barely begun. Right now I spend my August through June buried in picture books, toys, crayons, glitter, and glue and then in the summer you can find me one of two places; at my favorite bar as a bouncer on weekend nights, and during the day, Monday through Friday I'm behind the counter at the corner coffee shop I frequent the rest of the year. Right now, my goal is to finally get permanently licensed in New York so I can land a permanent teaching position and give up my summer jobs- and maybe get a place on my own. I'm up for your truth or dares- so just hit me up.
I’m incredibly sad to announce this officially but as the members already know I’m closing this rp. It’s dying, we’re not really getting new members and people are slowly losing their muses. So we can’t keep going on.
The two years that the rp has run have been some of the best in my roleplaying...
Nah, we had them in small groups with adult supervision and only one child per group with a tool at a time. We went over the rules before hand and they were really good about it. It's a little bigger class this year, but mostly really good kids.
Yeah, I'm thinking I'm gonna go to that too, I'd be up for winning some prizes. You have a costume yet?
Danny and I went on our vacation that came with the end of the show. Danny said that he originally came on the show because of the rumours he heard… I’m a bit upset.
Ouch; that sucks. But, I mean, wouldn't he have gotten to know the real you, if not during the show, then while you were away? So are you guys not together anymore or what?
Nah- that one was a little too easy, and like you said, horrid.
I was pretty impressed today, I manged to get 6 mini pumpkins carved, seeds roasted, and pumpkin muffins made with the kids today and no one was injured. Of course I had help, lots of it, but still. I'd kinda been dreading it all week despite how excited the kids were about it.
So, what does the birthday girl want to do next weekend-- apart from partying? Anything specific? Cake? Booze?
Oh yes, always. Why am I not surprised that you’d offer your services for this? I’ll just set aside a basket of treats for you and Kurt. I know what you both like, anyway.
Thank you, I’m hoping to have a really great time with her and I’m just grateful that Shelby is allowing this, it’s really great of her. She has quite the little personality, not going to lie. She’ll be a little diva, which she probably inherited from me. Her poor friends in the future.
Thank you. We'd really appreciate it. Some yummy treats are always a good thing.
She might be a little diva, but she could just as equally be a bad ass. Either way she is bound to be popular and well liked, even if she ends up giving her friends a hard time every now and again.
Awe, don’t be so adorable, honestly. And thank you, that means a lot. Really? Sounds like you had quite an exciting day at work today. Thanks for reminding me though, I need to get a jump start on baking my Halloween themed treats this year, it seems like it’s been so busy that I haven’t had much time to do anything for just me.
You know me, always adorable. And if you need a taste tester for said Halloween treats, I gladly offer my services. Just sayin'.
Thank you; and I hope you have a really fun time with Beth. She seems like quite the little girl; although not surprising given not only her birth parents but the woman raising her.
Yeah, thank you. I’m really excited for it, actually. I’m not quite sure as of yet. Probably some shopping a little bit, lunch, maybe a trip to the park or a movie. We’ll have to see how it all goes. How are you, Finn? Having a good weekend so far?
That sounds like an awesome weekend for a couple of great girls. I'm doing good Quinn. Spent the day up to my elbows in pumpkins and pumpkin guts as we carved mini pumpkins in class, roasted the seeds, and made pumpkin muffins. Thank goodness for some of the extra volunteers and my student assistant this year, because you know, me and a stove, not exactly the best of friends. But the kids had a blast.
I do hope everyone is having a wonderful start to your weekend! I know I will, considering I’ll be spending all day tomorrow with Beth so we can have some bonding time, as Shelby called it. So how about some questions here and I’ll get to them as I’m cleaning up the apartment? I’d love to answer anything you have for me.
The Dalton uniform. I mean it's gotta say something about how much it sucked if even you can't rock it. It just, seemed weird to see you look so much like everyone else.
Well, maybe not too lazy. I just meant not getting out of bed for a while.
