So often did novels romanticize female friendships, convincing girls that only way for them to remain close to one another was through secret sharing and pacts formed in blood and cheek kisses. Kitty’s never really been one for girl talk, never too drawn in by the inane intricacies of female friendships. Sure, Kitty entertained her own group of girls but that was largely due to the fact that likes finds like. Such is the case with Jennifer. Kitty and Jennifer both are dangerously unsatisfied and all too eager to sink their fangs into something rich, something fulfilling. Their nights always go a little something like this: they drink way too much, take way too many drugs, and break far too many hearts. As the nights go on they drink a little more, smoke a little more, and fuck a little more than the last time. It’s always heightened with these two, it’s always all or nothing. They’re out at eleven and neither of them even bother returning home until five or six the next morning. That’s Jennifer and Kitty. What makes their “friendship” far different from what’s written in paperback books is that they don’t really need each other. One could be here today and gone tomorrow and the other wouldn’t bat a single lash. The universe has brought them together and if it tears them apart then so be it. Boot Hill probably wouldn’t be on the verge of splitting in half if one of them just disappeared.
No matter where the twosome go, every establishment finds itself a little worse for wear after having dealt with them. All they do is use and deceive, take and devour. It’s funny how they both hunt in some useless attempt to get full, but there’s never an end in sight. They take, and they’ll continue to take in search of fulfillment but such a thing doesn’t exist for girls them. Disappointment is all that any Boot Hill girl knows, so perhaps it’s best they just accept it now. Maybe they should stop looking for whatever the fuck it is they’re so hungry for and be satisfied with what’s already there. It’s unlikely, but it’s something to think about. Will they consider it? Probably not. Will they continue to leave the hearts and psyches of the residents of Boot Hill war-torn? Of course. After all, they’re just incorrigible monsters.
Her right hand lifts the half empty bottle of pink moscato to her lips for a full, healthy swig before passing it back to Jennifer on their aimless stroll. It’s illegal to drink in public, but who would actually bother to snitch on them? It’s always best to just leave Kitty and Jennifer alone unless you want an immense headache from all the mind games they’re so damn good at playing. Once the bottle is out of her hands, Kitty runs a hand through her now waist length mousy hair. “Don’t drink it all, bitch” She teases, her hand playfully pushing Jennifer as they continued down their path. “Let’s go out tonight. There’s a party downtown that I want to go to where we can get in for free. There could be something good in there for us”.
jennifer's destined to be alone, or so she thought. her own mom told her that she was too rotten to be loved - let alone befriend even. and maybe that was all true but a rotten girl like her simply needed to connect with someone equally as devious as her. and that was where kitty had come in. the two are a match made in hell, satan himself afraid of just how much trouble and ruckus the two are able to create in little ol' boot hill. both have chaotic ideals of fun and both are searching for a way to fill the void where their hearts should be. the ironic thing is that they're both absolutely heartless, destroying lives and self destructing at the same time. it's truly a form of art. destined to waltz straight into hell with expensive high heels, they're equally determined to make the most out of their privileged yet miserable lives while they still had it. hence the need to self-medicate - whether that be with booze, drugs, and boys. although, not necessarily in that order.
the two together are boot hill's worst pretty little nightmare - doing whatever they wanted with zero consequences. it's hard to say no to them and if you do, you usually end up regretting it.
the night is young, the duo now wandering about as though they're invincible. simply unable to be touched by the rules. who could blame them for thinking that way when they've yet to see the consequences for their actions? so it's no surprise that the two are already drinking for all to see. the bottle's sure to only be the beginning, though, the two now out on the prowl for much more. happily, jennifer takes the bottle of moscato from her - greedily taking more than she should have. wiping her mouth once she's done, she giggles at kitty's teasing remark. "you know i'll be happy to, any chance to go out and get wasted is a chance worth taking." although the delivery of her words are playful, she's just a tad bit serious too. "think there'll be some naive minds for us to pry apart and spit in?" she adds. lord knows the only thing that gives her more joy than liquor was someone new to torment.
