thank you to every single fucking person on this god forsaken site that has ever posted your own art or writing. You really put a vulnerable, important part of yourself out in the open on the hellscape that is the internet and if that isnt an act of bravery and a labor of love I dont know what one is

anyone else remember being a child and seeing the very neat handwriting of other little girls and somehow knowing that you were a different genre of person than they were
literally no…i remember seeing bad handwriting & thinking “oh these other kids must be orphans or something”
fascinating to hear from the other genre, thanks for your contribution
may i offer you something? water? food? my heart??
a whole life together?
life is for taking therapeutic walks and being in your own bubble and reading books in bed and drinking iced beverages and eating fruit and gaining new experiences and dosing in sunlight and finding love in everything and not letting guilt consume your life actually
You learn a lot by being silent.
everything is too loud all the time they should put me in charge of all the sounds so i can mute things like airplanes and sirens and voices and turn up important things like kitty cat meowing
I blog for the girls who cry on their birthdays and lose a little bit of themselves during the summer months
there's an end to the loneliness, right? it ends, eventually? and i'll be finally whole inside?
I don't know that you ever stop having times when you are lonely. But I have learned there comes a time when you've built community around you, when you have a group of people who mean different things to you and whom you can trust with different parts of your life, that the way you are lonely changes. No longer is it a permanent edifice of hopeless longing. It becomes a sense of present emotion: being alone at this moment does not mean I am truly alone. You find there are people you can contact when you have questions or want to talk or just need someone to be present with you in silence. You will meet people who will welcome you into their homes when yours doesn't feel safe enough, who will lend you clothes, who will feed you and drive you places and expect nothing in return. You will meet people who let you know that you are loved, and eventually, eventually, you will begin to believe it. And once you have believed that, lonely never feels the same.
“I am not ‘half Japanese’ and ‘half Lithuanian Jewish.“ When I’m singing a Japanese folk song, I don’t sing with half my voice, but with my whole voice. When I’m taping together my grandparents’ Jewish marriage contract, worn by time but still resilient, it’s not half of my heart that is moved, but my whole heart. I am complete, and I embody layers of identities that belong together. I am made of layers, not fractions.”
