HARRY SAXON ✦ 30 ✦ WORKER ✦ CANDOR-BORN ✦ JENSEN ACKLES
Candor had never been a place that suited Harry. As he grew up, he was happy with being able to tell the truth no matter what if was, but he was kind of a hypocrite and didn’t like others speakign their mind about him. This often led to huge fights breaking out in the Candor compound and him be segregated from everyone else while he cooled down and get a lecture of his mom. Not the happiest moments of his life. Nor in his opinion did he suit black and white in any shape or form.
His parents told him long before his test that he would get Dauntless. His father told him it was because he was irresponsible and a troublemaker and he would be nothing to him come choosing day. His mother on the other hand would tell him to follow his heart and she’d always be his mom. It made him reluctant to change fractions and as a young teenager prayed his test results would be Candor - his parents had been right. It upset him. He didn’t sleep, the night before his choosing ceremony, but ultimately his blood was spilt over the hot coals.
His initiation went well in Dauntless he befriended a fellow Candor transfer in his year called Lex and he finished in the top ten and had free reign of choice for jobs. He wasn’t high enough to be a leader but Dauntless was still his oyster. In the end he settled on being a worker, more specifically a driver. He couldn’t handle the thought of looking after some snot nosed kids and teens who didn’t know which way up to hold a rifle, and he’d always had a love for cars. It seems like the perfect choice.
When Lex’s boyfriend was killed, Harry’s heart bled for her. To see his friend in so much pain? It didn’t seem natural, then again neither did seeing his friend close herself off. He promised himself that while he had never thought the guy was good enough for her - Candor habits die hard - he would look after the woman for him, maybe try to convince her to give some other guy a chance. Meanwhile he had his eyes set on someone for himself.
