Leopard plushie I finished last week. I’m super in love with how it looks and can’t wait to make some more plushies with this new pattern. Definitely gonna be making some more leopards soon.

Found this awesome jacket at a free/trade market today and I’m super excited to take it apart and harvest all of the plushie material. Also got my hands on some other fabric for plushie outfits and some clothes I’m actually going to wear. Going at this thing with a seam ripper will also give me smth to do while I come up with more plushie ideas, and I’m going fabric shopping on Monday so I’ll have even more stuff to work with soon.

Finally got these leg patterns figured out, now I’ve just gotta lengthen the front ones a bit for extra head support. This is also my first “Frankenstein Plush”, made out of pieces of fabric I can’t make a whole plush out of and scrap fabric. I’m going to start working on more variations of this pattern by making the cats and dogs a bit more distinct and and adding foxes, wolves, leopards, and maybe bears? I’m still messing with the proportions a bit. My current cat ears (shown in this plush) don’t read as very “cat” to me, so I’m going to use them as a jumping off point for my fox and wolf ears and some new, probably shorter cat ears. I’m also still working on the snout and I might make some different versions of it for different animals soon. This plush and a leopard plush I’m gonna post later are probably gonna be the first plushes I sell unstuffed, so people can decide how much stuffing they want in the plush, and so I can start adding scents at some point.

Second market night! The bar was a bit empty tonight but I did manage to sell one of my more expensive plushes (the red and black cat close to the left). I even saw the ppl who bought it making it dance to the music and flipping it like a bottle (its feet are weighted so it works surprisingly well), which made me super happy. I did somehow manage to lose uh. My entire spinning display that I use for the accessories. I’m guessing it’s either buried under all the shit in my car or I left it at the bar last week. So I should probably figure out where that went.

Finally got some new beads but omgggggg WHY did 2 POUNDS of beads cost $20???? I used to be able to get 4 pounds of knockoff poly pellets for basically the same price at Michael’s but neither of my local Michael’s sell them anymore :(

Apple inspired plush designs with my new template! I’ve had this idea in my head for a while and I just think they’d look so cute. The idea of the seeds as the paw pads is especially appealing to me. I also put some seeds on the chest to mimic an apple that’s been cut open. I thought about putting them in the ears as well but idk if it’d be too much or look too cluttered. I’m going to start learning embroidery soon just so I can add little details like that.

I love the red and green ones but am a bit mixed on the orange and yellow ones. the orange one is supposed to be like those red and yellow apples, and it’d be super cool to find a fabric that mimics that pattern, but idk if that exists. The golden one looks a bit too yellow to me lol.

Some leopard designs I made using a fabric I THOUGHT I had. Turns out I have a different pink and white leopard print fabric. It must be discontinued or smth bc I can’t seem to find pics of it anywhere online. I do actually have the white sparkly fabric, but I tried the pink sparkly fabric as well and I think that looks better. If I ever get my hands on those fabrics I’m definitely making this.

New plushie templates I just finished. Now I have a much more detailed and extensive way to plan out plush ideas I have. They’re definitely not perfect but they’re enough for me to plan out my ideas because I actually make them. I’ve got multiple sets of ears, tails, and eyes I can mix and match and wayyyyy too many layers on this single canvas. I might end up putting separate animals on different canvases to make things easier for myself bc this one ended up so complicated. And that’s JUST the line art, never mind the several layer folders worth of colors and fabrics and embroidered details I’m gonna be adding. I’m actually gonna start getting into embroidery so I can make more detailed and customized plushies, and I’ve already got plenty of ideas.
