I’ve been obsessed with this song for weeks. I recently discovered a 1967 radio segment John Sebastian did with Murray the K, where John goes into detail about how much he adores the song. I’m practically him.

This isn’t a photo from the interview, but he did have Kahuna with him in the studio. I think that’s too precious.

Mugwump Monday

What’s a Mugwump? Why, they’re the group that predated The Mamas and The Papas and The Lovin’ Spoonful!

As you can see, the group consisted of Denny Doherty, Cass Elliot, Jim Hendricks, and… ZAL YANOVSKY! Many familiar names! John Sebastian was also in the band! Although, he was meant to tag along for a three week tour, he only lasted a week before being booted.
