S O O N!

I'll be revamping on another page finally after a year or so? I'll leave the link here once I've gotten it up! Select muses will be brought over in the meantime as well! I’m glad I’ve settled on redoing this because I’ve missed a few of these guys and a few that I’ve done elsewhere. I’m not trying to overwhelm myself but... I could really do with getting back into writing here. I’m excited to see what’s new around here as well!

“Why?” His brows furrow, and he’s turning carefully to face Connor, his distress evident in the glitter of his eyes. “We both know Jack doesn’t deserve that. He’s been doing all he can to try and do what he thinks is best, and even though I’ve–” He exhales, eyes closing some, watering heavily again. He quickly lifts his fingers to wipe away what tears roll down his cheeks, his head shaking some. “Even though I’ve tried to tell him he doesn’t have to, he still does. He doesn’t understand that what he’s doing has pushed me away from him, and how am I supposed to tell him that? I know it helps keep his mind full of the good, rather than him being stuck in some quiet void, going through the motions just to survive.”

He shakes his head, leaning himself back against the edge of his desk. “I’d rather he be doing what’s good for him, rather than here, driving himself crazy trying to please me.” He inhales shakily, fingers curling around the edge of his desk. “I don’t have the heart in me to tell him that it’s too late now, because I tried to tell him when there was still something left, and he didn’t seem to get it, and I just–… I can’t, Connor, I can’t tell him, I really can’t.” He’s sinking, hands coming up to cover his face as the tears pick up, his chest jumping as he chokes on an exhale of breath. “Even–… Even if you hadn’t been here, even if it wasn’t you, it would’ve happened anyways. I don’t have the strength to be so patient, because I’ve been hurt too many times in the past to have the energy to wait.”

"He's a soldier. You have to think like one in order to desensitize him." He feels if he slightly shifts the conversation, he can definitely regain his own composure and not burst like he damn near was, "---Just be straight up with him. If you don't...then he'll just continue to do this to you until you finally break down." He's hesitating to come near for a moment, but he does anyway.

Arms move to wrap around Elias in a comforting hug, hand moving up and down his back, "I'm...I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..." He whispers, face pushing against the top of the smaller's head, “I don’t want to see you upset anymore...I’ll just---I’ll help or something like that. I’ll make this better for the both of you...”

The only way to find it is by being brought in by myself, or by one of my brothers.”

Seraph begins thinking of all possible security situations, a habit of his especially when moving is involved because he's had to think about this before, "I'd only feel extra secure if we had a pair of 'normal' eyes on it like me and Javier." He says while rubbing his chin, looking to Manaji for a moment before turning his attention to Utau who had been sleeping against his shoulder, "Why don't we move them in across the street? That way---we all can be together in one place. Him and I could work on the main house as well."

"Emotions are so frustrating." He admitted quietly, glad he didn't really get a chance to sign any paperwork if this bothered the other so much, "You won't lose me..." Malek has to calm himself down, hands shaking a little as he resorts to sitting down in a nearby chair instead so he can sink into it and deflate, "I'd rather you just come with me next time. I-I should be sorry for upsetting you..."

They curl tightly, pulling roughly, and he’s shaking his head. Pushing out of his desk chair, his brows furrow some, eyes already pooling with water that drips from his lashes to the surface of his desk. “You’re right. You were just a stranger. I didn’t even ask for you to come here, I didn’t even get a say in you staying. But you were Jack’s friend, so it was fine. We had the room, and you needed it until you got on your feet, and I was fine with that.” 

His fingers curl up into tight fists at his sides, and he’s sniffling slightly, head lowering slightly. “And then suddenly, Jack wasn’t around anymore. I only ever saw him for fleeting moments, and I started realizing that I stopped being excited to see him anymore. In between it all, you were there. When he could barely say good night to me, you would sit up until dawn with me, watching stupid movies because I was too afraid to sleep when I knew I’d wake up to an empty bed again.” His head shakes, and he’s lifting his hands to wipe at his eyes, and cover his face, shame and sorrow flooding his chest. “I fell out of love, and then right back into it, but not with the man I had been waiting for– Instead it was with you. I wanted so badly for you to meet someone else, to disappear from my life because I love Jack, but I also don’t, and I can’t stand the idea of breaking his heart when I know it was never his intention to break mine.”

"So---" He's not one to shed tears---Not at all. Connor remembered the last time he legitimately cried was at the birth of Anastasia. His thoughts are jarred though as he's listening to Elias, constantly rubbing at his burning eyes as he's taking easy, slightly heavy breaths. It's proving to be just a bit much for him so he's clearing his throat soon after that, shifting uneasily in the doorway of the room.

"I---I didn't know that. I-I just did what any decent person would do. I did it because I cared for you. I-I was still struggling with my divorce and I just didn't want to get close to anyone in general...But this? This just changed all that...Why don't you just tell him that you don't love him anymore? I mean...Fuck. I should've just kept my fucking mouth shut and I shouldn't have made you like this. It's my fault. I made you fall in love with me. Haha...That's really fucking unfair of me to do that to you."

"I only did what I thought was...acceptable." He's looking a little dejected at his predicament, only moving to pick up his mug of tea which sat nearby. But when he brought it to his lips, it wasn't hot. Disappointment on top of disappointment he believed, moving to just slam the cup down and lean against the counter, "...I just--I feel like everything I'm doing is wrong. I don't understand anything that creation does anymore. I feel like every little thing I do will only disappoint you and move you away from me again..." A look of frustration makes Malek's brows furrow, hand moving to rub his face.

I was just- I was just using you... Where has he heard that before? Of course, that hurts. Connor swallowed and just laughs quietly, exhaling the breath he didn't know he was holding, fingers sliding into the pockets of his jeans, "Alright..." He's saying after a silence---even if his chest burns with slight sadness. He knows he brought the emotion on himself, he also knows that this was PROBABLY the result he was going to get as well, "Well, you and Cap' are alright anyway. He's done a lot more for you. I was just a stranger in your life quite frankly. I asked. I deserve that. The truth is supposed to not be pretty."

He scratched the back of his head, unable to form anything that coherent due to his own confusion and anger at himself, "I can end the partnership if it makes you uncomfortable."

"A project you mean? Is that something we can handle? Does anyone else know about it?" He's thinking more along the lines of security, fingers moving through his hair with uncertainty. He hates to ask all these questions even though he trusts Manaji will make things secure for Utau's sake, "...Sorry. I can't help it---especially with what's happened when we moved."

So I'd appreciate it if you'd just take one goddamn second to talk to me and look me in the eye and tell me straight up if you absolutely don't have romantic feelings for me? I have them for you. They won't go away no matter who I'm with. I'm not sorry for sayin' this either." He looks like it's been bothering him for quite awhile, but he just wanted the dormant emotions to stop once and for all. Hearing it from the other's lips would help considerably.
