As much as I like to tease him and pick on him (in the most loving way, of course) I know I’m the luckiest person ever. Through everything he stands by me and reminds me constantly that no matter how hard things are today, that we have a beautiful future ahead of us. I’ve never experienced a mutual love with anyone other than my children. I’m truly grateful to have the most amazing man in my life today. It never should have taken 16 years…but he was worth the wait.

I’ve had to make some heartbreaking decisions in order to move forward in life…in the not too distant future life will turn around.

Unless anyone has been in my specific situation (and many have) then you just can’t judge and your opinion falls flat.

I have the opportunity to live a wonderful life full of love and happiness. Today, I can truly believe that…without fear of anyone or anything being a factor anymore.

It might just be the hardest thing I’ve ever done but it’s also the very best, healthiest thing I’ve ever done. No relationship is perfect…but no one should ever have to be scared every day that they’ve done something wrong and wait for everything to fall apart.
