Save the Books || Claw & Prudence
The basement around the man smelt dense, the air seemed like it was thick enough to slice, and the light that managed to glimpse in was low. It wasnât exactly a homey sort of place, but it seemed fitting enough for the books that sat in their positions. âIâm no longer an agent,â were the simple words that left the manâs mouth as he let himself through the door. However if Claw had been in there before he would have noticed the books seemed more tattered than usual, that some were not supposed to be resting on the floor. But he had not, so he did not.
Prudence immediately noted the books resting on the floor and rushed in front of Claw to pick them up. She inspected it with a frown on her face. âIt looks as if its been.. gnawed onâ she said as she showed it to Claw and pointed along the pages. She didnât like to think of something gnawing on her books. Pru felt about books like Ivy felt about her plants.Â
