( ALEXANDER &&. MONTY )
So absorbed in his own thoughts, Alexander didn’t immediately notice the human encroaching on his space. He blinked, gazing away from the amber-colored liquid before him as a man, perhaps about his age or so, reached out to ask Alex if he was having fun yet. Was his disgust written that plainly onto his features? He angled himself better to face his intruder, and vaguely recognized the man–they knew each other, didn’t they? The man’s tongue rolled on the tip of Alex’s tongue, forming and dissolving as he tried to pin down where he’d met this human man before.
Definitely not here, of that he was damn certain.
“You could say that,” Alex said at last, lifting his glass with his fingers and taking a thoughtful sip. He gestured to the man’s plate, his brows lifting considerably. “You seem to be taking advantage of the free food, at least.”
“Isn’t that the point? To take advantage of it?” He mused, slightly confused. Then again, he was out of his depth and he didn’t want to tread on anyone else’s time. He took another sip of his own glass. “If you’re not here to take advantage of things, what are you here for?”
