We will be collecting donations for Japan's disaster relief (Red Cross) - please join us to make the pot extra hefty. The evening's entertainment is free, with food and drink specials galore -- all to keep your wallets and bellies fat with some to spare for those who gave you the glorious gifts of sushi and sake. Dethlab will personally match the donation total at the end of the night. Totals will be posted when we come to in the morning. Food + drink specials. Kitchen open 'til 12am. (YES. That's sushi 'til midnight.) Dark sonic delights. 10pm - 2. See you. ♥ Sakana Sushi Lounge 22914 Woodward Avenue Ferndale, MI 48220-1737

Tickets, MP3s + more: http://majesticdetroit.com/2010/10/15/nitzer-ebb/ With an unusual name, Teutonic beats and aggressive sound, it is often assumed that Nitzer Ebb originated within the German techno scene, but the truth of the matter is that this trio hailed from the UK, Chelmsford in Essex to be precise. Formed in 1982 by school friends Douglas McCarthy [Lead vocals, guitar], Vaughn ‘Bon’ Harris [vocals, percussion, guitars] and David Gooday, [percussion], Nitzer Ebb were influenced by the harder sounds of the early techno pop scene, distilling elements from several other genres too until they had created their own identifiable sound, characterized by extremely powerful rhythms, minimal sequenced hook lines and fierce, chanted lyrics.
