Cheap whiskey, black leather jacket, the cologne her husband used to wear, mascara running down her face, and a stone cold exterior barely holding everything together.

A P P E A R A N C E

Devyn has two major scars, both of which were obtained through accidental means. On her left hand is a diagonal, palm length scar from slicing her palm open with a knife. Above her right eyebrow is a two inch length scar from running into the corner of her kitchen table when she was 5.

Devyn has both her first and second hole pierced in both ears. Former piercings include a belly button ring she got on her eighteenth birthday and an eyebrow piercing on her left eyebrow.

Devyn has four tattoos: one is the quote ‘Though She Be But Little, She Is Fierce’ along the left side of her rib cage, two is her husband’s initials and the date of their wedding in roman numerals around her left ring finger, three is her daughter’s name and birthday (also in roman numerals) on her right wrist, fourth and final tattoo is an airplane behind her right ear.

S K I L L S

Devyn’s most helpful skill, which is something she accredits to her years of traveling and living in other places, is her adaptability. There’s few situations that Devyn has found herself in that she wasn’t able to figure a way out of or find a solution to. Piggybacked onto her adaptability is her organizational and memory skills, which she accredits to both her travel and being a mother. Her ability to remain calm, cool, and collected under pressure or when faced with a stressful situation. Above all, she’s a very determined and driven human being and when she wants something, she makes damn sure she gets it.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Devyn has always considered herself an incredibly outgoing person. Her friends used to joke that it was impossible to embarrass her because she just didn’t care enough about other people’s opinions. Devyn also has a giant heart and whether you’re someone that she’s close with or a stranger on the street, it’s not uncommon for her to go out of her way to lend a helping hand or kind word if she feels it’s necessary. Given recent events that have transpired, she’s become much more wary of people. Her patience has thinned out a lot and she’s much quicker to anger than she used to be. Unfortunately, Devyn has become much more guarded since her husband’s disappearance.

STATUS: OPEN TO ALL LOCATION: THE HOUSE

While, Izzy knew that Killian could be incredibly temperamental, for one night.. she had hoped he could set aside his volatile mood, to just have a little fun and appreciate her tireless efforts to please him. Unfortunately, her luck as of recently had run out and instead of feeling accomplished for her attempted good deeds, she just felt incredibly anxious and defeated as she surveyed the crowd. Looking for any sign of life or entertainment to uplift her mood. When no physical beings sufficed, she opted to have a drink at the bar. Unlike the general population of Reapers, Izzy got her drinks for free. Being the king’s devoted queen had its perks, of course.

“Can I help you?” The House, though centered in the heart of reaper territory, was open to all guests. Unlike the Lycans, the Reapers welcomed more outsiders. They preferred fresh blood in their shark-infested waters. It made for an interesting night and today was no different as Izzy stumbled upon an enemy, enjoying the fruits of their labor. “You seem lost.”

Dropping Ryder off at her parent’s house for the night left Devyn with little to do except sit around her house, moping and thinking about Myles. As of late, when Devyn wasn’t at work or chasing after Ryder or doing literally anything that kept her mind distracted for long enough, her thoughts always went to her husband. The logical part of Devyn’s brain told her that she was dead and that it was only a matter of time before his body would turn up and it would give Devyn all the closure that she needed. But there was still that part, the hopeful part that told Devyn not to give up, that was enough to keep Devyn’s spirits alive. The brunette had never accompanied her husband to this bar, Devyn doing her best to avoid any and all stare as she approached the bar and ordered herself a drink.

Another woman’s voice pulled Devyn from her own thoughts, chuckling softly at the woman’s words. If she only knew how right she was.

“I think I’m good,” Devyn commented with a small smile. “I’ve never been in here before and I had the night off, so I figured I’d check it out. The whiskey selection is solid, so, that definitely earned a thumbs up from me.”

VICTORIA ADAMMO.

OPEN TO ANYONE @ HALF MOON.

            The good old, cliché-filled bar glistened under the city lights and the atmosphere was brimming with people of all sorts. Much like everyone else, Victoria was only here for a drink or two with a friend – although she could use networking, as always. Meeting new people was never out of fashion for someone in her field of work and you could never have such a thing as too many allies. That’s how she saw them: allies, never friends.

          Or so that’s what she told herself. She knew this was Lycanthrope territory – thus, anyone could be the enemy. All that Victoria hoped for was to blend in with the crowd, but it wouldn’t be too difficult considering the place was fairly difficult to navigate already. Bumping into an unfamiliar face, she promptly apologized, hoping not to have spilled her drink onto someone else’s clothing. 

          “I’m sorry. I’ll get you another drink if you’ll excuse me. I’m looking for a friend – but apparently, they’re not coming tonight,” an apologetic smile curled upon her lips. She offered them a hand. “What should I get you?”

This was a stupid fucking idea. Devyn had known that from the beginning and yet, it hadn’t been enough to stop her from following through. A returning customer had been badgering Devyn for weeks to go out for a drink and the brunette had turned down each of his advances, blaming work and having to take care of her daughter. It hadn’t been until he mentioned Half Moon that Devyn agreed to meet him for one drink. While Devyn had no interest in the male on a romantic level, this fake date was all the excuse she needed to spend a few hours in the territory of the people who had possibly had something to do with her husband’s disappearance.

Of course, the fucking guy was late, which left Devyn up to her own devices. A glass of whiskey in her hand, the brunette was slowly making her way around the bar when she felt someone run into her, thankfully not spilling her drink.

“Looks like we’re in the same boat,” Devyn looked down at her own shirt, double-checking for any stain and still finding none. “No harm, no foul. Though if you’re offering free alcohol, I suppose it’d be kind of rude to turn that down.”

HEADCANONS.

only child of her two loving parents, grew up in houston in a lovely house in great heights and for all intents and purposes had a very normal upbringing. even from a young age, devyn wanted to get out of houston and see the world and so, school was a big thing for her because her life goals were college & travel... until she met the man who would eventually become her husband.

devyn and myles met after devyn accidentally rear ended myles’s car and somehow in the midsts of an argument over who was at fault, devyn agreed to go on a date with him. from then on the two were inseparable and devyn was head over heels in love. the two of them planned to to gradaute and see the world together until they found out that devyn was pregnant. both of their parents were furious and it only got worse when they found out that on top of being pregnant, devyn and myles had also secretly gotten married. unfortunately, devyn wound up miscarrying the baby, but she & myles still decided to remain together and married and after graduation, peaced tf out of houston.

the two traveled together for years, all over the world and they were happy as clams to do so. eventually, devyn found out she was pregnant again and that’s when they decided to return home to houston and devyn’s parents helped them buy a house and nine months later, their daughter ryder was born. it was a huge change going from being able to drop whatever and go whenever they wanted to having a kid but myles and devyn somehow managed to make it all work.

while devyn stayed home with ryder, myles was out working. she started getting suspicious of what exactly myles was doing for work when he started bringing in lots and lots of cash but was always out very late and when he was home he wasn’t really all there. devyn eventually found out about her husband’s affiliation with the reapers and was initially incredibly pissed off but at the end of the day chose to support him and believe him when he said it would all be okay.

spoiler alert: it wasn’t. devyn always would wait up for myles to make sure he was home safe and one night he just didn’t come home. it’s been six months since myles disappeared and no one seems to have any leads and his body hasn’t been discovered, but devyn doesn’t have much hope left that he’s still alive. since myles’s disappearance, she’s started working at her father’s mechanic shop to get some sort of money flow, even though myles left behind more than enough to keep devyn and ryder comfortable. she’s sad af that her husband is gone and even though she’s pretty positive he’s dead, she hasn’t given up trying to find him.

WANTED RELATIONSHIPS.

brother/sister-in-law/husband’s best friend that’s like a brother/sister: This relationship has been the one thing keeping Devyn from imploding in on herself since Myles’s disappearance. Whether this person is involved with the Reapers or just someone who has always been apart of their lives, either one works. They’re relationship is as close to family as it gets, essentially.

devyn’s former best friend: Again, gender doesn’t matter. Outside of Myles, this was Devyn’s person, through thick and thin. Timeline, I imagine they’ve been friends since they were in diapers. The catalyst for what ended their friendship was when Devyn confessed to them what Myles had been doing with the Reapers. Now, there’s two ways this could go: 1, unknown to Devyn, her best friend was involved with the Lycans and was like ‘yikes, now this is a problem’ and basically just ended the friendship there or 2, they’re very, very much against the gangs and is genuinely upset that Devyn was supporting this.

babysitter/nanny/caretaker: Despite Myles leaving behind a substantial sum of money in their joint banking account, Devyn doesn’t have the luxury of being a stay-at-home mother anymore. This person can be a neighbor, someone who just works at the daycare Ryder goes to, etc. Whenever Devyn is in a pinch for childcare, this is the person who often times will step up and Devyn is endlessly appreciative.
