Changes in the Postal mail system now states, that your piece of mail is not postmarked the day you drop it in the mailbox. Postmark is delayed until it is processed through the Processing Center for your area. That can take 3 days or more.

If you walk it into the Post Office in person you can get it postmarked the day you take it in, otherwise you're out of luck. '

This is an issue for any time sensitive mailings.

Also Postal Delivery times have gone down since Trump's first Post Master appointment Louis Dejoy - who had pushed from the get go to privatize the Postal Service.

There is no incentive for timely delivery of ballots, which are clearly identified as such.

Another Trump acolyte has taken it upon himself to lecture the pope on the Catholic faith.

Border Czar Tom Homan tried to school Pope Leo XIV on Catholic teachings about immigration in an interview with the Letters from Leo Substack on Wednesday, offering, “I’d be happy to sit down to explain to him.”

Homan, 64, prefaced his unsolicited theological lesson to the Vicar of Christ, 70, by touting his credentials as a “life-long Catholic.”

He went on to excoriate Leo for criticizing the Trump administration’s mass deportation campaign, asserting the Chicago-born pontiff had failed to grasp Catholic doctrine.

“Catholic faith is always in support of law enforcement, always has been,” Homan said.

“He should be, too,” the border czar declared.

Homan, who allegedly accepted a $50,000 cash bribe from undercover FBI agents posing as businessmen seeking future government contracts in 2024, then told the Holy Father to mind his own business.

“I’ve said it many times before, he ought to be fixing the Catholic Church, ’cause they got their own issues,” Homan said.

I see cr*p like this and fume! Not Catholic - Episcopalian, but this is The Creed we say each Sunday as part of our service. It is even more relevant now.

The Creed

On the third day he rose again, opening for us the door to new life, destroying the power of death.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who speaks all languages, lives in all countries, and reunites all races, who proceeds from the Creator and the Son, unity in diversity, three in one.

I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church, a communion of saints across countries and centuries. I look for the coming of the Kingdom of God, where our passport is love, our bodies are resurrected and healed, where the image of God in all of us is honored, where we will not be strangers or guests but lambs gathered safely home in the arms of the Good Shepherd.        AMEN
