This is a bit late at this point, but thank you to everyone who participated in a very successful Diakko Day! Participation was even higher than last year, a trend that will hopefully continue. Thank you for making that happen! I'm pretty sure we got everyone's submission, but if we happened to miss yours, please feel free to ping the blog or send an ask. Though the future of the platform is a bit unknown, we have an active diakko discord for artists and writers and fans. Its primary purpose is to promote and support the creation of diakko fan works, but you don't need to be a writer or artist yourself, and there's space to discuss other ships and fandoms. There is so much to love about this. Akko flapping her hand in the first panel is adorably funny, and the use of things like the bee breaking the heart, Cupid’s arrow coming from Akko’s panel to poke Diana’s panel, the ellipses turning into a bubble, the ‘O’ in ‘you’ being a heart… just a ton of wonderful bits of symbolism. It’s really good that Diana did clear things up and make it known that it wasn’t just the Cupid Bee and that her loving Akko really isn’t all that preposterous of a thing after all.

Uhhh hiii so i heard its @dianakko-day !! Its a little messy but heres a diakko drawing i made with my friends! I hope u like it!! Theres also a little silly diana sketch bcuz i wanted to practice poses a little! I hope every person who participates has fun because i sure did!! :D

It is Dianakko Day! We’re so happy not only to get a Diakko drawing but also a Diana solo sketch. She looks like such a gremlin in her sketch. We love it! The way you draw her hair is also great, it has such volume and personality!

And then of course, Diakko smooches! It’s great how it’s very clear that Akko was the one to kiss Diana who wasn’t quite expecting it, but judging by those blushes, she doesn’t mind one bit! Thanks so much for the artwork, they’re both great!

Absolutely lovely to see the announcement art fully realized in a delightful comment that celebrates the OG Diakko from the OVA. Today I celebrated by inviting friends irl to do diakko activities!!

1. Watch some of the eps with Diakko

2. Look at fanart and animatics and comics about diakko (I read some comics out loud for people cheering noises!)

3. Draw Diakko some

are still busy drawing so you you might see it online later on tumblr or twitter!! If they will be brave enough to post

4. Chat lwa and diakko and in general

5. Eat good food

6. I danced to the lwa opening with my sister (ppl cheered!) And I almost broke her nails

7. Made some new friends :D and met old ones again ✨️

Overall I had an awesome Diakko Day! 💖

Would reccommand to do lwa events irl too

If it's a watch party at home for a birthday con meet up celebrating lwa events irl weekly meetings to watch the whole show etc etc

Being with fans irl is so much fun!!!

Yes! We definitely will! We are very much aware that real life can be a big factor in things so there’s a healthy grace period that we will be using. The important thing is that you make sure to @dianakko-day us so we know you posted. We won’t be searching for the tags so stringently as we head into the work week, so @‘ing us is the best way to promptly get reblogged.
