Should I schedule distance learning for myself while on the program? Or will I be able to manage my coursework in the time off that I have off without scheduling it. I am taking two general education requirements and a medical terminology class. I have a lot of experience with taking online classes and am good about meeting my deadlines.

I personally didn’t sign up for Distance Learning and I was able to get my work done. It’s all a personal preference and if you’re good at managing your time. Usually you get two days off a week (except peak/holiday weeks when you get one day off) so you should be able to do your work on your own.

Will DORMS be able to recognize that I will be 21 by my arrival date even though I won't be during my window to select roommates? Have you heard of anyone else being in a situation like this before? I turn 21 on Saturday and my check in date is the following Monday.

I haven’t heard of anyone having this issue. But you guys could just put wellness to be safe and then once you get to check in tell them you’re all 21 and want nonwellness and they’ll just check your IDs and switch it.

If I have a tattoo on my upper rib cage (kind of by my chest :/) and I want to be a performer, is there any costumes that would show my tattoo? Like should i consider it a "visible tattoo"? Most of the shirts I wear cover it unless they have super low sides

Depends on the characters but it is possible the tattoo would show.

if your family comes to visit you can you get them a discount on the disney dining plan?

The dining plan is only if they stay at a Disney resort. Sometimes there’s a discount and sometimes there isn’t.

Hello! I wanted to know if you know if CPs get payed for overtime during the program?

We get time and a half for any shift over eight hours and any week that’s over 40 hours.

Okay, so for DL Spring DCP I read that advantage students HAVE to provide their own housing? Also, on the phone interview do you request to be in DL or WDW? Or is this not something to mention? And my sabbath is Sunday, should I mention that I need at least the morning off during the interview, or..?

I’m not sure about Disneyland. You request Disneyland or Walt Disney World on your application! You can mention your sabbath during your phone interview and hopefully they’ll write a note but you should also fill out an accommodation form because that’s really the only way they’ll even consider giving you off but it isn’t guaranteed.

Kind of weird question, but whatever, do we need to supply our own belt? Because I know a belt must be worn with our costume but didn't know if we needed our own or if costuming provided those with the costume. Thanks!

Costuming will provide it!

Hey there! Just wondering how the CM discount (for merch) works during the holiday season. I heard it goes up but is that just a 1 time coupon or is it a certain amount of days/date range that your CM discount is increased, and you can use it as much as you'd like?

You get 40% for the holidays (usually October-February) and you also get a holiday booklet with extra coupons and discounts! Some exclusions do apply.

I know you have to rank your choices for apartments on DORMS but I was wondering how that works with linking. If I'm lucky enough to be able to link with the 5 girls I want to link with, will I only see 6 and 8 person apartments to rank? Or will I still have to rank all the way down to the 1 bedroom apartments?

You should only be able to rank apartments that will fit your correct amount of roommates. For example: if there are six of you, then you should not be seeing options that are available for only two people.

For traditions I have this navy blue and white stepped dress it's long and spaghetti straps, is that the Disney look?

What am I allowed to and not allowed to post on my social media? Am I allowed to say I'm excited for work at Disney as long as I don't say anything else that might give away my role? May I say things like work was great today?

Yes, you can say that. You just cannot post things that are not public knowledge or things that are only for Cast Members to know. If you’re in doubt then do not post it.

I do online college. Would that in any way affect my chances of getting into the dcp?

As long as it’s an accredited university, you’re good!

I nanny (for my parents) and have never worked for a company before. However, I do quite a bit of volunteering at my church. Would not having a company job hurt my chances during the interview/ getting into the dcp?

Nope! Experience isn’t necessary but for certain roles it does help if you have experience in that area. But I know plenty of people with little or no job experience who have done the DCP.

Hi! I had a question about the college aspect of DCP. I never really hear anyone talking about doing homework at all regardless if it is the Disney courses or even just their college courses. Do people take courses from college when they do the program? Also do the Disney courses give homework?

Some people take college classes via their college and some don’t. Some Disney courses do have homework. It’s all personal preference unless your school requires you to take classes.

Are we allowed to stay at hotels during the program with family/friends? Are we also allowed to go back home for a night during the program? (I live an hour away)

Yes. As long as you pay your rent they don’t care.

If I deny the link does it tell them or send them a notification that I denied it?

I don’t think so.
