nostalgic cosplay

imagine its 2013 and all you have is your disposable camera with you. mustering up the courage to walk up to and talk to a cosplayer asking if you can have a picture. the nerves are eating you alive, butterflies in your stomach fill you up; its cheaper than the con food, and you await their reply. not only do they accept but theyre so happy that you asked, its the highlight of their day! you quick snap a picture and strike up a conversation, you cant believe you were so nervous. sometimes its hard to remember theyre just a nerd like you, dressing up as a character they love. you give them your handle where youll post the pictures after and hope that theyll see them. you cant check to see if the pictures are any good so you cross your fingers and pray that the quality isnt shit and your thumb isnt in it. smiling you walk away - pictures taken with various disposable cameras, because i miss early conventions and the quality gives me nostalgia. - all pictures are on carcinogeniccat on instagram.
