NEW FOOD BLOG: DIY SHABU SHABU
So hello there, especially to japanese food lovers! 💓 This dish originated from Japan, a hot pot based with variety of meat balls, vegetables, and tofu, and flavored or dipped with satay sauce cooked in your dining table.
What I really admire about japanese foods is the collective ingredients that though it seems plenty, the dish still tastes good!! Just a trivia: I have done a bit of research and I learned that it was named as such because of the sound omitted during cooking. I do not know how true it is! 😂
In cooking, you have to wait for the soup to boil and reach the bubbles on top, and that is the time to ready thin-sliced meat to be dipped. You eat while cooking, same with samgyupsal.
You can do a lot of things while eating. Get crazy by the taste of every meat balls, pepper meat balls, fish balls, squid balls, lobsters, chicken balls, crab sticks, etc. Enjoy dipping thin-sliced meat to your hot pot (thru chopsticks) and wait until idone, then dip again to your diy satay sauce. Be amazed by the cheese balls with creamy cheese inside! 💓 You will not know how fun it is until you do your own shabu shabu dish.
We got these ingredients from @weiweicoldstore.ph @weiweicoldstore at Aranque, Sta. Cruz, Manila Branch. Visit their store and chose your own meat balls. Around the store, you’ll see a lot of vegetable vendors, ask them Polanchay and Spinach.
