She is not free. Parole is not free. Conditioned release is not free.

“Conditions of her parole include her compliance with an approved release plan, that she maintain employment or educational enrollment and that she participate in regular counseling sessions, said Dorinda Carter, spokeswoman for the Tennessee Department of Corrections. She's also required to perform at least 50 hours of community service, including working with at-risk youth.”

She is still under the control of the State. She still has to live her life according to the State. She has to maintain employment (which is difficult for convicted people) perform community service and adhere to some undisclosed “release plan”.

She should have never been targeted. She should not have a record. It is absolutely a win that she is release from physical prison but people really need to continue pushing for her total pardon. She has lived under this long enough.
