Shin Sooyoung | 17 | Feisty
It was well beyond Sooyoung’s curfew, and she knew that. She may have thought about it for a second when she was flashing her fake ID card to get into the club, indifferent to the fact that her older brother, the one that had set that curfew, would be waiting anxiously at home for her return. That wasn't as important as a good time, and 17 was as good of an age as any to be enjoying a few drinks.
Sooyoung hadn't always been rebellious, but it was just like a teenager to go through this phase- the phase where you drink illegally, sneak out, and start dating well before your guardian thinks it's appropriate. Or maybe it wasn't a normal teenage phase and just Sooyoung’s way of getting to know the big city, having grown up in Cheongju for the majority of her life. It was so easy to slip past the doors of a crowded club and it was even easier to meet the right wrong people to get you to those doors.
“Soju bomb!” her small voice rang out, hardly cutting through the environment’s natural loudness, the bass swallowing the words before they had the chance to reach her boyfriend, the flavor of the week who was far too old to be putting his hands on a teenager, who nodded although he hadn't even made out a syllable. “One! Two! Three of them!“
The young woman pulled at her escort’s arm, stomping her heels on the floor in an exaggerated manner as she made her way towards the bar, determined to get that drink that she didn't need. There was importance and purpose in her movements and she mercilessly shoved those aside that happened to be in her path, spouting off bitchy comments as a consolation gift to those that shot glares at her. One fact about Shin Sooyoung was that she was never, ever apologetic. Another fact was that she had a lousy tolerance for alcohol, and that was apparent by the wobble in her steps and the flood of giggles that kept escaping her lips in between insults.
“Bartender!“ Sooyoung yelled out as she reached the cool marble countertop, swinging her hips violently to claim their space, pushing those that had been waiting patiently for their own drinks. Loud laughter escaped her again as her slender fingers found each other behind her lover's neck, glossy eyes fixed on the male who didn't seem nearly as enthused, but left a kiss on her forehead to appease her. “You're so-” she started to speak when she was cut off by a loud voice, the exact words being directed at her lost in a drunken cloud that had set in her brain.
Fingers wrapped around Sooyoung’s wrist as she turned to confront whoever had interrupted her less-than-romantic moment, her brain still trying to process what was happening- the familiarity was unmistakable. Soon, the teenager's eyes narrowed and all of features that made up the other were absolutely those of Jang Haebyeol. Sooyoung could feel the words bubbling up in her throat before she could think rationally.
“CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT I'M BUSY!?“ it was a question yelled in a volume that made several others turn around, yet she didn't notice, as her color-contact-covered eyes were fixed only on Haebyeol. “Don't touch me! You aren't allowed to touch me!” the words were now at a more reasonable level, but her annoyance was apparent.
Just who does this bitch think she is? Mrs. Dongwoo?
