i fkin love dirkjane because it's dirk trying to fit more into normalcy EITHER in this butch for butch yaoi homoeroticism way, OR dirk trying to fill this hal shaped hole in his heart by getting with jane (who is actually... kind of awesome???). all of this can go NUCLEAR so fast, but besides having a potential for them to literally just vibe out and be happy with their lives/ identities, there's also the possibility they do a nuclear family thing and dirk gets used as a battery for the world, and jane becomes the world itself nuclear family style.
