Whew...Haven't been here in a while...Wow...How long has it been since my last post? Welp...Since the last blogs have failed, and I seem to have new followers (one new follower), I am bringing back this blog! And yes, while some of the fanservice in Skullgirls is rather unnecessary, there also has to be a certain degree of realism. When a high kick is thrown, you want the skirt to look all warped and weird just staying there to cover up the panties? NO! That would look extremely off-putting! And yes, big breasts are rather unnecessaryâŚEVEN SO, itâs only a small part of what is obviously a very deep and strategic game. How about instead of bitching about the fanservice that appeals to the fans of the game, you actually PLAY the damn thing for what it really is: A GAME THAT IS MEANT TO BE FUN!

Reading comprehension 101: I was not talking about big boobs or not. I was talking about how most female armor (not in this game, Iâm talking general. I figure I might as well specify it and spell it out for you) is conveniently cut in such way that it shows cleavage and such in such a way that in a real combat situation the female would be dead in a minute due to all weak spots being exposed.
Per example: Female Armor vs Male Armor. Itâs the same armor set, in both genderâs variants. While I would not petition the game-makers to change it, you must be quite ⌠oblivious to not see how, in a way, this plays a part in objectification.
And to make it clear: This. Is. Not. About. The. Size. Of. A. Characterâs. Knockers.
And I threw in an insult in the last reply: so sue me. My first reply to you wasnât filled with expletives, nor ad hominems. You start, I return. Deal.

Not only that, but each character has their own traits that would put them on equal ground, if not higher ground than any male character that could enter the franchise. But, itâs the game designerâs choice. You have the option of not supporting it if you want. That will FORCE game designers to reconsider their options for armor design and so on. If not, just tell them, âHey, I find this sexistâ and hope for the best. Thatâs all I can really say at this point.

Itâs not just Guild Wars that does it either. I get that men get a jolly over seeing half-naked women fighting hordes of monsters, but as hardcore gamers are honestly getting bored of that trope. Yeah, it looks hot, but itâs not anything more than that. It doesnât feel entertaining anymore. And yeah, why not dress the ladies in more full-on armor. I would love to see a badass female warrior one of these days! Like Chris from Suikoden III kind of armor.
