Uh, I wanted to sketch Asra, Julian and Nadia in the outfits of cards they are bound with but now it‘s like humanisation of those cards… since like characters they look ooc to me  Anyway, my first ever try of drawing Julian and Nadia, and I’d rather count it as a success

Guys, I discovered something! ヽ(°〇°)ﾉ

Surprisingly enough, it took me quite some time to realize that Julian and the Hanged Man are standing in the exact same posture - shoulders relaxed, arms folded, sporting luscious curls and a chic side profile, bam, beautiful, call Vogue… 

And then I realized something. Julian and the Hanged Man are both crossing their arms, but in a different way. This doesn’t sound too exciting, I know - but if you have some knowledge on Tarot, and especially, the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, it might ring a bell for you too.

The symbolism in the Rider-Waite-Smith deck is incredibly complex and abundant, but one of the very first things you learn while studying the Major Arcana is the significant meaning of the hands. 

The right hand is associated with the conscious mind. The left hand is associated with the subconscious mind. 

Now take a closer look at these Lanky Bird Boys.

See?

Mhm, that’s right.

To make things even better: their arms form an infinity symbol, the symbol of  balance and eternity.  Could this represent the balance between Julian’s conscious and subconscious mind? Or is this but a mere coincidence & simply a personal choice in character design? Yeah, I don’t think so.  (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) ♡
