they won't tell you this in therapy but sometimes the best way to stop catastrophizing/anxiety is to interrupt your spiraling with "girl what the hell are you talking about"
It's not a cure but you have no idea how many times this image has helped me with my OCD
On sonic images that help with mental health, this one genuinely helped me more than i would like to admit
this one has legit helped so much with my mental and physical disabilities. Do you know how often some bullshit happens and I sigh and say "but we move"
家主は…オレがしょうじにシワをつけたと?
Hey landlady, do you say I crinkled this paper slide door?

That’s true! I did! I crinkled this!

when i was a kid I was really bad (or really good depending on your definition) at hidden object games. which is to say that I would not specifically search for the objects the book asked me to look for. no. that would make no sense. what i instead did was open a spreadsheet
i then proceeded to list every single object in the image in my excel spreadsheet, highlighting the objects the book asked me to find in red as i went. Then, by the end, not only had i found the objects, I had also found and categorized all of the other objects as well. This way, if anyone asked me to find any other objects in that image, i was fully prepared
on an unrelated note i was diagnosed as autistic before third grade
You used the letter a 46 times!!
And 555 letters, so the letter a is about 8.29%
The letter a is on average used about 8.2% of the time, which means you used it more than average!! :)
a-counter you are my best friend and greatest ally
this was written 100 years ago but it reads like a post i would make on my tumblr blog in 2026
doing things at the right age is literally a made up concept. you can start/pursue anything at any age. btw.

The lion is concerned. The lion is honestly really fucking worried.
I bet if we all work really hard and put our heads together we can pinpoint exactly when we died and got sent to Hell
photographs are a kind of corpse if you think about it
they warp. they fade. they're eaten away by time and rot until they're unrecognisable. we inter them in mausoleums of albums and frames to preserve them, but this only slows the inevitable process. they're relics of a moment that will never exist again, and in capturing them in an attempt to prolong their memory, we only invite ourselves to witness their decay. a camera is a medium for communing with ghosts.
this is awesome because this was my moms take on parenting and now as an adult i only have miserable cold lonely memories of childhood and i cant relate to people crying out for their Mom when they’re in pain or scared . sorry your kid wanted to show you pokemon cards though that sounds rough
do y'all realize what post-partum depression looks like?
of course im aware. it still isn’t a child’s job to absorb the fallout. naming the problem doesn’t magically make the behavior harmless. kids don’t stop needing affection just because their parent is struggling, and its wild to see people bonding over how inconvenient a childs love is
both things can be true at once: the parent needs support, and the child doesn’t deserve to be publicly lauded as a burden and nuisance
The tomb of a pastor's wife and stillborn child in a church in Hindelbank, Switzerland, 1751, depicting their resurrection.
@banana-with-a-bow-tie I agree with Citrus I’m sobbing thanks
Oh, a colleague of mine just wrote her PhD dissertation on this!
This is the Grave of Maria Magdalena Langhans by Johann August Nahl. Nahl was hosted by the pastor and his pregnant 28yo wife Maria Magdalena when she died during childbirth. Moved by this, he decided, by himself and without being commissioned to do so by anyone to make this grave for her. It became a huge place of pilgrimage for the next 150 years.
