Guide to Alters in my Wol's DID System
Arkao
Arkao is the host alter. He has a dreamy and offbeat personality, a touch awkward and chaotic at times but certainly charming. Animals/creatures of all kinds have been his special interest since he was young. While his soft heart is fulfilled by the fact that he is able to save so many lives—especially given the helplessness he felt growing up in an abusive noble house in Ishgard—the adventuring and battling life is not for him. When he is able to settle down, he will be found studying and caring for beasts, and always keeping his hands busy with some sort of arts and crafts project.
Domin
Domin is the protector alter. He was originally known as "Fray." A confident, assertive risktaker, Domin was formed to save the system from further abuse and protect their agency by defending themselves, fight or flight. Some may find him a villain... he did try to create a primal after himself and use their own body to host it, after all...but everything he does is for the safety of their system and the safety of the innocent who are harmed by those in power. Those who've come to know him personally will note his wry sense of humor, his unhesitating guard dog tedencies around children, and his remarkable endurance.
Isa
Isa is a persecutor alter and sexual protector. She is everything their parents wanted Arkao to be— well-mannered and sharp and charming in a social setting; pious; studious; confident but perfectly obedient. She believes all their parents told them and the preachings of the archbishop, and that the other alters were bringing harm to themselves by resisting that. Their mother's fervent desires for Arkao to marry up the social ladder and Isa's fawning tedencies render her a secret coy flirt unable to resist advances made unto her by opportunistic nobles and members of the clergy. All else, she has no interest in.
Guillaume/Gils
Gils is the little alter and an emotional alter. Because their parents' strict discipline meant it was unsafe for Arkao to express himself, his needs and emotions unconsciously became his "imagery friend" Guillaume's to cope with that. As a result, Gils is a very excitable young boy, who wants to play when he's bored, hum songs when he is happy, and cry and be helped when he is sad or afraid. He is always unabashedly himself and everyone is his friend.
