~Week 1
Welcome all makers to DY, and I bet you all can't wait to start learning about the MAKER MOVEMENT.
~Week 2
Students started getting used to the feel of how Scratch works. They also started their research on their favorite makers of then and now.
~Week 3
These pictures are from the ice-breaker that was held by our very own teaching assistant, Eddin Martinez. The students then were partnered up to work with each other to learn more about scratch!
~Week 4
As days grow colder, the students progressed in learning about Scratch and started having lots of fun.
On week 5, the student MAKERS started on their first projects using Scratch!
Video of our performance at the DreamYard Festival! Try to spot as many instruments as you can!
Sharing!
Our final sharing of the year! We performed our song using our instruments for participants and visitors! For some of us it was our first time performing in front of people and for some of us it was one of the many performances of the DY Festival week. After performing our song we set up a number of stations to let people play with our instruments and also to make their own. It was a fun day and a great way to show all the work we did during the semester.
Week 23: Sharing practice!
This week was all about practicing for our sharing! We broke out in separate groups and worked on what we would do with visitors at our stations. We also practiced one more time our song just like how we would do it at the sharing.
