@drewvanderbilt
What do you need, darling?
Funny that you ask because Iâm not even sure how I got here.
âDid you miss me?â
âYouâre that cute cheerleader right?â
âSparks?â Serena laughed, shaking her head in shock âWhat sparks? Iâve been known to make people see stars, but no sparks. And you only know that little fact because I let it slip, but had I known it would get to your head⊠So tell me, Drew, what else do you know?âÂ
âYou know you felt the sparks, no need to lie to me.â Drew laughed back at her, still with a smile on his face. âWell I could also say that you like me, you wouldnât keep talking to me if you didnât, correct?â
âSo, whatâs the best hangover cure?âÂ
Something greasy, aspirin, and lots of water.Â
âOh, cut me some slack, Virgin Mary, will you?â
âNo judgments. I didnât mean to interrupt you, youâve got a little blood on your chin though.âÂ
Giving a toothy smile she let her shoulder shrug, âFine, I suppose we can do something equally entertaining. What is there going on tonight? Any parties? We could go to those. I donât know what humans and witches enjoy doing. Our interests are vastly different, love. Help me out here,â
âIâm sure we can find a party to crash if thatâs what you want to do. I just donât suck peopleâs blood, So Iâm sure thereâs something we have in common.â
â â And I think itâs cute how you think youâre important enough that Iâd need to remember your name. Confident though, arenât we now? But Iâll let you have this one, you do have a great smile.âÂ
âThe sparks shouldâve been something to remember me by, right? I wouldnât say confident, I just know things, you liking my smile is one of those things.â
âIf you need help youâve definitely come to the wrong place. Iâm not really the helping type.âÂ
âNot even for me? Youâre nicer than you let on.â
âYouâd be very surprised. Drew, right? The brave warlock that loves to smileâÂ
âItâs cute when you pretend to not remember my name, but yes that would be me. The warlock whoâs smile you canât seem to get enough of.â
Waving her hand a little she dismissed his comment, âDrinking is only fun when it actually effects you. For me, it doesnât do much unless I drink at least two bottles, and it has to be the hard stuff. Oh!â She exclaimed leaning up, âHow about a party? Or maybe, shopping. I do love to shop. You can hold the bags.â
Making an face he quickly shook his head in disapproval, âI donât want to set things on fire and I get demoted to bag holder? Can we do something thatâs fun for the both of us and doesnât make me a bag rack?â
âYou again? Why do we keep running into eachother?âÂ
âYou say that like itâs a bad thing.â
âOh, but it was so much fun. Canât we have fun? If only a little?â Giving her best beaming smile she tilted her head, âIf I cannot have fun by lighting something on fire, what do you suggest I do?â
âWe can have fun, just without burning something.â Laughing a bit, he tilted his head slightly as he looked back at her. âYou can do more than burn things for fun, like drinking. Drinking is always fun.â
âHow dare you not invite me.â
âDonât you remember what happened the last time we set something on fire? We donât need a repeat of that.â
âWhat in the hell â Hello? Whoâs there?âÂ
âIs this usually how you greet someone?â
â One is enough, trust me, yours is enough. â She assured him. His joke was cheesy and she narrowed her eyes at him, not because she was mad, but because she was amused and a bit shocked. â So Iâm not losing my mind, youâre a warlock? â she asked, a smile creeping across her face. â I think we felt enough chemistry between us for one night, handsome, save some of the sparks for another day. âÂ
âThatâs a good thing, right?â He smiled at her. The conversation was just so easy he couldnât help it. âYouâre not losing your mind at all, Iâm indeed a warlock.â He responded with a nod and another one of his famous smiles. âI guess we could save some, I doubt there wonât be more anyway, but itâs nice to know that you find me handsome.â
âThank you. You should come to the game tonight. Itâll be fun.â She mused.Â
âIâve never been to a game Iâm not playing in, so maybe it would be interesting but Iâve never really had fun with just sitting around and watching.â
