Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I have… okay you are right, I’ve got no social life, but I can pretend.
I did very much thank you. How was your Turkey Day?
A girl can dream I suppose.
It was all right, the same as every other year really.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Sorry I’ve been absent. School is killing my social life.
What social life?
I hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving yesterday.
why is it so quiet?
Good. I’m Jamie by the way.
Dylan, and we haven't met yet why?
why is it so quiet?
Well it wouldn’t make any difference because I can already do anything I want.
Oh, I don't doubt that.
why is it so quiet?
Yeah, maybe more than one person died.. or maybe everyone died and we’re the only ones alive.
I'd actually find that pretty cool. Imagine being able to do anything you want.
why is it so quiet?
Maybe someone like died or something..
Even so, they should be celebrating that persons life.
why is it so quiet?
i can’t deal with this.
I've been wondering this since I got back from New York.
Five O'Clock Somewhere // Dylan and Georgina
Georgina peered over her shoulder when she heard a gentle thud. Dylan had jumped the bar. It was impressive but entirely unnecessary when he could have just walked around. Still it now looked as though those muscles she was admiring earlier were more than just for show. She made no comment about the move figuring that he was just trying to show off for some unknown reason. Tom was deep in his cup when Georgina made her way over to him. She recognized the same looks that she had worn only a few weeks ago. She too had tried to drink away her feelings. The difference was that she had people who cared for her to take away the bottle and make her feel better. “I’ve had that too you know.” She nodded towards the empty mug in his hand. “My boyfriend of three years kissed another woman. Left me heartbroken, but there was no solution at the bottom of a bottle.” Georgina bit her lip. She really had been heartbroken when Will was with Ellie. She had bottles in the recycling bin to prove that she had tried to lock herself away and drown her feelings, but it didn’t work. She truly felt for Tom, she wanted to give him a hug, but he got up and moved a few seats away.
“Wouldn’t you like to know the best I could do.“ She chuckled taking the original seat shrugging her shoulders. “It was worth a shot. Anyway the night isn’t over yet.“ She usually wasn’t one to give up on a challenge, but she had come to Pulse to be with Dylan not form the Lonely Hearts Club. “I’m sure something must have happened to him. Perhaps he will open up in time.” She swung around on the stool to face Dylan. “But he isn’t the reason that I’m here. So Mr. Grace, what is it that I should do to entertain you since plan A didn’t exactly work out?” At his remark about not being rejected by the male species Georgina looked away biting her lip. Dylan was very wrong about that one. G had had three relationships in her life and all three had dumped her for one reason or another. She was always left feeling as if it was her own fault. As if she should only be better, then she would be worthy. She forced a smile looking back at Dylan. He shouldn’t have to deal with that sort of thing. Georgina didn’t want to burden others with her problems. She was simply looking to make a new friend of Dylan, so naturally showing the emotional baggage was a big no-no. Feeling his guiding hand on her back made her feel better. It was a small comfort, but something much appreciated never the less. She blushed when he asked about her favorite song. “Don’t laugh, but I really like ‘A Whole New World’ from Aladdin. I know it’s silly, but I do.”
"Yes, yes I would like to know the best you can do. If you're offering?" Dylan looked across the bar and smiled, hoping she heard the humour in his voice. She obviously didn't know about his reputation and he wanted to keep it that way. The passing comment she had made to Tom about her long-term boyfriend kissing another woman had stuck in Dylan's mind. Was she in a relationship like he thought or was she single? There was no point talking about it now. That was a conversation best left to when they knew each other better. Three years was longer than Dylan had ever lasted in a relationship. In fact, he had only had one relationship in his life which only lasted six months. It was after this he decided they were stupid, pointless and he would rather stay single for the rest of his life. Now, he thought, he'd never be able to withstand temptation. That's why, as nice as Georgina was, he could never be deeply involved with somebody like her, they'd only get hurt. It was weird then, that he felt anger towards the guy who'd cheated on her, a guy he didn't know anything about. It was a situation in which he'd normally sympathise with the offender, understanding why they would cheat. Staying faithful was something he could never do. After only knowing Georgina for a short time, this is how protective he felt. If a crazed man with a gun had burst in to Pulse at that moment, he would have probably threw his own body in front of hers. It was a foreign feeling for him, one he disliked very much.
Trying to push those thoughts from his mind, he subtly took a shot of Tequila and threw some cash from his pocket in to the till. Technically, it was illegal for him to drink whilst working but after being employed here for years, he knew how to do it out of view of any cameras. Also, nobody in the bar was paying attention to him, except from Georgina. "Well, plan B was to put on your favourite song and watch you dance but my guess is that song would be particularly hard to move to. I could probably sing it to you though, Aladdin was one our favourites when my siblings and I were younger. A lot younger." That was true. Dylan could vividly remember sitting by the fire downstairs with Kyle and Allison, all kinds of disney movies playing on the small TV. "I can show you the world..." Dylan started. His singing voice wasn't terrible but this wasn't something he'd usually do to impress a girl. Thankfully, he wasn't trying to impress Georgina, just make her smile. A genuine friend wouldn't be too bad, he thought. "A WHOLE NEW WORLD." Dylan's voice cracked as he shouted the chorus and he started laughing. "Come on, don't make me sing it. What would you like to do that doesn't attract any dogs to pulse? Are you sure I can't get you a drink?"
Do you know what's playing at the movie theater?
I want to spend this Friday night watching a good movie.
I heard that new Twilight film is released. If you're into that.
To those I have yet to meet, I'm Ana.
I'm pretty certain we haven't met. I'd remember a face like yours. I'm Dylan.
Five O'Clock Somewhere // Dylan and Georgina
Georgina shrugged. “I’m sure that you will be plenty entertaining.” She watched as he replaced a new glass atop the pyramid. It was rather well constructed. She just hoped that he was joking about spending that much time on it. She let her eyes take in his muscular arms before taking a gulp of her soda wishing it was something stronger. While her boyfriend had hurt her by what he did with Ellie, Georgina should not be entertaining any thoughts of how attractive the man across the bar was. She could feel her checks flushing at the mere idea. Still she couldn’t help but appreciate his physique and confident smirk. “What a hero. I’m sure that puppy is very appreciative. I had a suspicion that the overly tan, over the hill Ken doll couldn’t drive. I’m guessing that by training these eagles, you also kept them from trying to steal that horrible hair piece of Donald Trump’s. That alone should be worth a bit of a reward. I don’t know how we can ever repay you.” She smiled at Dylan trying to think up how she could possibly be a source of entertainment for him. She very much doubted that he was the sort of man who would want to talk of literature or debate the deeper meanings of Hitchcock movies. Still should would do the best that she can. “Then I shall take it as a personal challenge to see that you are amused until it starts to get late and you have to kick me out.”
Tom looked lonely more than anything. He had a sorted guarded stance about him, despite the fact that it looked as if he were well into the double digits of drinks consumed. It looked as though Tom had given up on the world and taken up the bottle out of sheer desperation. She couldn’t ever imagine a person living life like that, but then again there were people that she know whom she was afraid might end up in the same state as the gruff man. Georgina scoffed. “I don’t really think I’m his type. He looks old enough to be my father, but I’ll go talk to him. Talking can’t hurt. Would you please introduce us?” Georgina gave Dylan her best puppy eyes hoping that he would help. It was rather silly, but Georgina was still practiced the formal manners of old. Of course she did the normal teen things, but there was something timeless about a proper introduction between people by another. It was almost a sign of respect that someone thought highly enough of you to recommend you to another person. It must be all the old novels that G read. No one could really think like that any more, but it was worth a try. If she could get the man to smile or Dylan to be entertained for a few moments it would be worth it. Georgina slid off her stool moving closer to Tom. “Is this seat taken?” There was a whole bar full of empty seats, but maybe just having someone close to Tom would help him forget for a little while.
When Georgina accepted Dylan's challenge and began to walk across the dance floor towards the useless man sitting himself, Dylan placed both hands on the surface of the sparkling bar and leapt over. It was something he would often do to impress the girls that came to Pulse. A party trick, he guessed it would be called. The bar seemed really high to anybody who was standing in front of it but fortunately for Dylan there was a small ledge attached to the back of it which helped him to gain the height he had to in order to complete the jump. He hadn't expected the stunt to impress Georgina. Anyone who hadn't been drinking would probably just brush him off as an old gymnast or athlete. Truthfully Dylan was just trying to make the visit to Pulse entertaining for the girl. His day so far had been boring and he was enjoying the company. Of course it would start to get busy in a few hours, as it always did, but he liked her. She was different from the company he usually kept. Not only was she smart and witty but she also wasn't just talking to Dylan in the hope that he might invite her back to his place. He wasn't complaining. He'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy having the regular girls who visited Pulse, those with no self-respect, hanging off his every word and practically fighting to capture his attention. At the end of every night he liked the power of picking one.
The sound of Georgina's soft tones brought him back to where he was right now. "Is this seat taken?" He repeated, raising one eyebrow and laughing. "Is that the best you can do? He's not going to go for it." As he expected, Tom sighed heavily and got up from his chair, moving to one a few metres away. "It's all right." Dylan started, not wanting the girl to feel too disappointed. "You have no idea how many times somebody has tried what you did and got the same response. I guess his personality is just as grim as he looks." In all honesty, unlike every other time a woman or young girl who had had too much to drink were rejected by Tom, Dylan felt a little annoyed. If a girl like Georgina had asked for Dylan's company he would have elatedly accepted. "I know it's early but how about something a little stronger to take your mind off it? Just one. I'm guessing you're not used to rejection from the male species." Dylan smirked, a questioning look on his face. Gently touching her back, they walked towards the bar. Once she'd sat down he leaned over the bar, closer than he had before. "Come on what's your favourite song? I'm sure we'll have it somewhere."
A night off work.
I think Sebastian Stan would beat you there…but alas, I don’t know him in real life so I can’t really make a proper judgement on that…but I’ll be sure to let you know when I’ve got actual proof to back up my claim. Is that so? I don’t even think I’ve ever been there…but I’ll take your word for it.
I'm pretty sure Sebastian Stan isn't looking for a job but whatever, you girls and your celebrity fantasies.
You should definitely visit one time. Lots of people make judgements about it before they try it which are always proven wrong.
A night off work.
You think so? How do you know they won’t find another male to take your place? What do you think you’d end up doing if you didn’t work there?
If you see another male looking for a job who is as charming, attractive and as good at working behind the bar as me, be sure to let me know. It's a true fact that whenever I'm not there, the bar isn't even nearly as busy.
A night off work.
What would they ever do without you?
I'm pretty sure they'd lose at least half the female customers.
A night off work.
Yet, I find myself in Pulse anyway. I'm such a committed drinker worker.
