“This is all the wine you have, Laney? Are we trying to pretend we’re conservative in this house now?”
Bringing the spoon touched with a bit of bolognese sauce, Dylan tasted the delicious red mixture. “Mhm...no. Check the wine cooler. Daisy should’ve ordered more last week.” He stated covering the bubbling pop once again. “I’m glad you decided to come for dinner, you know?”
Text ; Big Bro
Dylan: What? God no. Why would you ask that question?
Dylan: I think deep down we all want to meet someone because we've been programmed to believe in fairytale endings.
Hayden: Because everyone else does.
Hayden: Do you?
Dylan: No one thinks that. Cut it, Hayden. Cut that shit out.
Dylan: Sure...if it comes.
Text ; Big Bro
unsent: That's why I do pills for a secondary high.
Hayden: Do you think I'm a slut?
Hayden: What if I don't want to meet someone?
Dylan: What? God no. Why would you ask that question?
Dylan: I think deep down we all want to meet someone because we've been programmed to believe in fairytale endings.
Text ; Big Bro
Hayden: Sex doesn't mean anything. There's no need to have faith in someone or rely on them for more than a high. So yes that's what I do.
Dylan: Maybe you'll meet someone, Hay. Don't only depend on sex being a high. You never know.
Text ; Big Bro
Hayden: It's okay to not date if there's sex involved.
Dylan: Is that what you do, Hay?
Text ; Big Bro
Hayden: I will. I love you and I'm tired. We'll talk tomorrow.
Hayden: Have fun on your date.
Dylan: Okay, I love you too.
Dylan: It's not a date. I don't date.
Text ; Big Bro
Hayden: I promise, okay? It's not like the last time.
Dylan: Okay, I believe you. I love you. Take care of yourself, okay?
Text ; Big Bro
Hayden: I am okay. I just didn't eat today and I got hangry like those stupid commercials.
Hayden: I don't need to see Dr. Preston. I'm better.
Dylan: I'll take your word for it, Hay.
Text ; Big Bro
Hayden: I know you see me as a child but I'm not. I am a grown ass woman.
Hayden: I know you can't let go of that vision of me but you're gonna have to or I'm going to stop answering you.
-fifty minutes later-
Hayden: I'm sorry blowing up at you.
Hayden: I love you.
Dylan: What? You know I don't see you as a child, Hay. You're an adult as you like to throw in my face over and over again.
Dylan: I really don't know. Do you want to go back to Dr. Preston?
-Fifty minutes later -
Dylan: Are you okay?
Dylan: I love you too. Please don't be afraid to talk to me.
Dylan checks his watch for the third time in a row. It’s not like him to keep checking the time but he can’t help himself. Since the day he laid eyes on the woman who sauntered into the room like she owned it he hasn’t been able to get her off his mind. He has to have her. That was his exact realization last night when he texted her for this impromptu meeting. Slouching around the Scotch in his glass he takes a sip keeping his eyes opened for the sexy blonde. She would test him but oh the rewards, he thinks accepting the burn making a trail down his chest. It’s 7:41 and he knows himself, knows he won’t wait longer than the time allocated for this meeting because Dylan is a man of time. He doesn’t have a lot of it and the time he does have, he makes sure to spend it on activities he mostly enjoys.

Hayden: What kind of proof are you lookin' for council?
Hayden: It's a D appointment. Call a spade, a spade. I am not making any excuses and it's getting annoying that you don't TRUST me.
Dylan: Any kind you have. A text, an email, something.
Dylan: No, it's not that I don't trust you but fine. Enjoy that appointment. You won't get another word from me.
Text ; Big Bro
Hayden: Nope.
Hayden: I went by your apartment earlier and you were in the shower. You phone chimed and I read it. oops?
Dylan: I don't believe you. I need proof.
Dylan: That's a business appointment, but I am free after. I feel you're making excuses now, Hayden.
Text ; Big Bro
Hayden: Touche. That is the realest thingy you said all night.
Hayden: Aren't you meeting that pretty blonde from the firm?
Dylan: I'm sure of said other things but okay, lol.
Dylan: How do you know about that?
Text ; Big Bro
Hayden: You're still sharp at this hour of the night.
Hayden: But seriously, I do like a man who feels something. It's tiring to feel nothing.
unsent: I am so tired of feeling nothing.
Dylan: I'm always sharp. You're not a Reed if you're not.
Dylan: Do you want me to come over? We can make it like old times. To cheer you up.
Text ; Big Bro
Hayden: Misery.
Dylan: The old philosophy of 'Misery loves company' is applicable I see.
Text ; Big Bro
Hayden: I think a man with feelings is very attractive, thank you very much.
Hayden: No sir. My audience wouldn't like that.
Dylan: What about emotions attract you?
