A wizard of Earthsea, by Ursula K Leguin is the first book of the Earthsea Cycle, one of my favorite series. It features:

- A coming on age story of how Ged, the talented and ambitious young protagonist learns to cope with death, power and his prickly personality while searching for a dangerous shadow creature he accidentally released.

- A beautiful magic system, heavily inspired by Taoism 

- Almost entirely black characters

- DRAGONS (and cute magical rodents) 

- Literally the first magic school ever written.

did this one ages and ages ago, after re-reading earthsea in my first year.

i don't know why i never posted this before! i really liked it back then (and i still do) even though it's very different from what i do now.

I tried my hand at a design of Tenar from Ursula Le Guin's novel The Tombs of Atuan. I love the idea of a teenage girl being the high priestess of the elder gods sealed inside a vast underground labyrinth.

I took a shot at creating a design for the character Serret from A Wizard of Earthsea. I admire how she defies the prohibition on women practicing sorcery in order to study a cursed relic in an enchanted wizard castle, and I'd love to know more of her story.

I have made 3 streams drawing and printmaking to the Earthsea audiobook- this was so relaxing! I’m planning to complete the 2 hour programme through 20 min sessions.

Something I discovered this week while tinkering with my streaming setup- if you have an old Canon dslr  you can use the webcam utility drivers from the ones listed and it works just fine with a usb cable. You don’t need to get a video capture card or HDMi cable

I have a Canon 550D and I downloaded the driver for Rebel T6

I love streaming live from tiktok the most, obs for some reason doesn’t recognise my Twitch account, so I’ve started using their Studio app. But I love my Android phone too much
