I love thinking of Harumi as someone who is so desperate to live/terrified of death whereas Lloyd is very much tired of life and thinks of death as a relief. Idk, I think it's a nice dichotomy between the foils but also like, the Master of Life who craves death paired with ms. Undead over there who's afraid to die

I love how so much of Harumi points to death. Like, obviously her wearing all black because black symbolizes death and all that but also, "The Quiet One" her pseudonym was given to her after her parents death. But life is never silent, if your surrounded with life, it will never be silent, only the dead are silent. Like, not only was the name given because Harumi's parents were dead, but she's also dead (inside but she's a zombie now). But also the red was paint looks like blood leaking down the face, as though from a fatal head injury. And then the spiders, when spiders have been associated with death and destruction just as much as they've been associated with rebirth and creation. And then the draw to spider lilies, the flowers that symbolize death. Harumi you are a goth queen

Llorumi is funny because you know NOBODY is supporting Lloyd here. Not even Harumi. She's looking at him like he's lost his fucking mind as if she wasn't turned on by his oni form

It's such a small little detail but I like the fact that Harumi's Kabuki mask in Crystalized has blue markings and not red. In Kabuki theater, the different colors and designs of kumadori makeup symbolized different aspects of the character it was meant to portray. Blue in Kabuki theater symbolizes malevolence, evil intent, danger, etc. Not to mention the Kabuki mask design is the kugeare design which is exclusively used for important and menacing villains. Idk it's nice to have such a minor detail like that

Kid fics are fun but at the same time I think if Lloyd ever knocked Harumi up they would immediately abort it like-

ppl who are so eager to forgive Garmadon and Morro and then say that Harumi is irredeemable what is your problem

Morro and Lloyd acting like cousins is great but hanging out with Harumi is TOO FAR even though they did similarly messed up stuff to him

forgiving Garmadon for beating him half to death infront of the whole city is fine but forgiving a teenager he likes is romanticizing abuse

Harumi’s not some monster thats impossible to understand or reason with and she’s not infinitely worse than any other Ninjago villain. Why do people talk about her Like That
