Actually, Lloyd Garmadon's defining character trait is love and kindness. He is going to choose love over hate. Every single time. He is going to choose forgiveness because he loves more than he hates. He is going to forgive Misako, he is going to forgive Garmadon, he is going to forgive Harumi, and, though he may not be comfortable around Morro, he is going to forgive Morro. He is going to forgive Arin, no questions asked. And chances are, at the end of DR, Lloyd is going to forgive Ras because guess what? Lloyd Garmadon loves more than he hates

First SWL art post ... at 2am. I originally posted this to twitter the moment the Ninja Ships account posted my submission for this ship. The file almost bricked my laptop TT ...

I do think llorumi can be important narrative-wise, or I guess specifically, the relationship between Lloyd and Harumi. I mean this in the sense that their relationship, however you want to interpret it, is important character wise (I already went into all that) but also consider:

Lloyd is the Green Ninja and he's a self sacrificial idiot. So many choices Lloyd makes are for the greater good. He doesn't really make choices for himself per say, the choices are all decisions he makes that he thinks would benefit the mission, the people, or the team. Out of every character in Ninjago, Lloyd is the one who makes the most sacrifices, whose choices are never for himself. This is good, this is the type of responsibility and decision making you want the hero to be capable of. But then Harumi comes along and Lloyd becomes selfish. In Crystalized, it would have been understand for Lloyd to leave Harumi to die, nobody would have blamed him. But Lloyd saves her, an act that clearly shocked everybody including Harumi. What's more, he's all like "she's with us now". He chooses Harumi. This choice is one of the few selfish choices Lloyd makes for himself. He's not choosing her for the greater good, or for the people, or for his friends, he's choosing her for himself. Its a selfish decision, something Lloyd usually never makes because hes the hero (and again, he wouldn't have it any other way), but also, again, it shows how the relationship between Lloyd and Harumi humanizes them both

I like how, if they do go through with giving Harumi a redemption arc, both Harumi and Lloyd parallel with the symbolism of lotus flowers. Lotus flowers symbolise rebirth. They are flowers that grow past the murky muddy waters and bloom into something beautiful. They symbolise rising up against darkness to become something beautiful. Lloyd and Harumi both rising up past all the trauma and darkness within their past, either darkness that happened to them or darkness they ensued, to become better parallel the symbolism of the lotus flower

Lloyd genuinely enjoying doing chores after a childhood of everyone dumping their chores onto him is really funny to me actually. And idk she just gives me "jamming to music while working" vibes. That or complete silence, no in-between.
