The Philadelphia Chevrolet Dealers through EcoMedia's EducationAd program is funding the Anderson Monarchs to play at the 2014 Cooperstown All-Star Village Tournament. This 12-year-old inner-city baseball team will compete against over 40 teams from across the country. Chevy's support will also fund restorative and preventative maintenance projects to an authentic 1947 Flxible Clipper Touring Bus which was manufactured the same year that Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball.
Additional funding goes toward the creation of a video documentary which will highlight the Philadelphia Youth Organization's story, its youth participants, and serve as inspiration in attracting African American youngsters and adults to the game of baseball.

Living Spaces Funds Health Renovations At LA Veterans Center
In the morning on Friday, Volunteers from Living Spaces came together to show their support for the veterans who served in Afghanistan and Iraq, who now call the Volunteers of America Los Angeles Hollywood Veterans Center home. The wooden slats on the outdoor patio were painted and bricks, mulch and plants were laid out to enhance the space, making it a peaceful, welcoming environment. As a result of participation in EcoMedia's WellnessAd, Living Spaces funded new patio furniture for the veterans to have a place to reflect and recover. A renovation of the gym area took place with roofing, flooring and mirrors being installed, along with state-of-the-art gym equipment which enable veterans to fulfill their health and fitness goals. Bicycles were also provided for exercise and transportation. Earlier, speakers from Living Spaces, Volunteers of America and EcoMedia gathered together to tell the story of how the project came together and to celebrate the health renovations that will assist the 144 veterans to get to the next step in their development and re-entry into civilian life.
