✧ ◦ . 「 dylan thompson. 」 🥀
In a mixed world of saints and sinners, Dylan definitely had earned himself a resting place in one of the seven terraces of purgatory. At least, that’s what anybody would tell you within the halls of the academy, should anybody ask about Dylan Thompson. Although a junior, he was made up mostly of primal teenage hormones, and partly academic on a good day, while otherwise full-time medicated. But people didn’t come like books in the library with an easy to read synopsis and contextual proof. No, with boys like Dylan, it took less time to learn he was no good and more time to figure out you might regret ever having spoken to him in the first place.
Unfortunately for Eliška, she didn’t have a whole lot of a choice, because while Dylan didn’t usually spend much time kissing God’s ass in the cold, creepy crypts of the church or whatever, he had a thing to do and she’d been right in his way.
Almost slamming into her, Dylan snorted and backed up, looking the girl over pretty obviously. Whatever she’d said wasn’t English, so he didn’t really care for a translation, he figured he got the insinuation. “Forget it, shit happens all the time. Least I didn’t shove you over or something,” He pushed into her personal space then, backing her back into the chapel, just so that he could get through. Then, he counted back a few and went over to one of the pews and began to kneel down, stuffing his arm underneath it. Fidgeting with something, he looked back at the blond. “The school’s big, but the head count’s pretty crack. You new?” He frowned, tacking on the last words as he eyed her again, pretty sure he hadn’t seen her before. Not that he paid a whole lot of attention to everybody, but it was pretty obvious when there was a fresh face.
eliška was taken aback by his presence, which was so much bigger than hers, and not entirely positive or welcoming. still, she offered a smile, always with the instinct to please but not entirely sure it would be so easily achieved with someone like him. “ it was my fault anyway, so i –– ” but he was a boy with a mission, and she stepped backward quickly to avoid falling backwards in his stride. she had half a mind to leave, then –– swiftly make her way somewhere, anywhere but in his path which seemed less than friendly. but she was stubborn, and let out a slow breath through her nose.
“ this is my first week, ” eliška admitted, decidedly unembarrassed –– possibly because she was more distracted by what he was doing. she felt like she was seeing something she wasn’t supposed to be, but that didn’t really seem to bother him. she tucked her hair behind her ear, a mindless movement to keep her hands busy.
“ are you looking for something? ” eliška asked curiously, following after him and tilting her head. she almost told him that they didn’t keep the prayer books underneath the pews, but thought better of it –– he would’ve known, and in the back of her mind she knew that was not at all what he was seeking. not even close.
