I will never rewatch Death of a Detective. That is not how I would have liked for Richard Poole to have been written out of the show. I guess the writers and show runners got an earful because every detective after Richard got to leave the island and show without dying. Instead they each left because of a love interest.

I feel like that episode should be a do over where Richard goes back to England because he’d been promoted. Camille meanwhile still goes to Paris as an Interpol agent or whatever but she and Richard meet up and she shows him around France and he shows her around England.

Hey, if Steve Rogers can go back in time and be with Peggy Carter then Richard Poole can go back to England.
