Tell me a part of homestuck you feel is overlooked/underappreciated or a part you feel people interpret wrong
Oh Act 1 without a doubt. Its never a good idea to start off a recommendation of a thing with "Oh the first bit sucks" Which is what everyone does with Act 1. When it was Act 1 that got me hooked on Homestuck. I was two years late to the HS party, joining around 2011, so all the trolls and shit were already in the mix, and I learned about Homestuck from an anime convention. A nepeta cosplayer told me about Homestuck unironically.
So that night I got home went onto my computer, googled homestuck, got into the first page and started reading. It didnt take very long for me to like it, and the page that got me into Homestuck isnt very far in, its when John is in his living room looking around and hes commenting on the clowns that are around his living room. "At night you pray for burglars."
Which to this day I still find to be so fucking funny. Praying for your house to be broken into so the thieves can take your dads awful home decor is really funny to me. Act 1 is filled with these weird jokes that I still find to be really good. True, it is a bit of a mess because at the time, Hussie was still listening to the request box, but he still had an idea to where the story was going to go, its not like he was only going to listen to the box forever, and eventually he did stop, dunno when he did. But yeah, Act 1 is definitely something I think people underestimate.
