Maho Yamaguchi was attacked by two men who allegedly found her address after another group member released it. The agency denies this. The two men were released without change after denying this ever happened.
I won’t get into details about the assault because that’s what the link is for. I read it, and I would’ve been scared out of my fucking mind. She was ambushed by two men, and even though no report says there was a sexual assault, I still say that she should not be forced to apologize like this.
She apologized to her fans for “causing trouble”. The fellow member who allegedly released the address has not been held accountable.
Well then, I didn’t need my faith in humanity anyway. The fact that female idols endure all of this is terrifying, and I wouldn’t want to even imagine what horrors they’ve gone through for the sake of their profession. Whoever is responsible should be punished accordingly. The details of her attack make it even worse. She described thinking that she was going to die. She asked why this profession and any sort of expression would result like this. The fact that these people are making her apologize while the perpetrators roam free is beyond me and just adds to the absolute monstrosity about the way this is handled. Her fans are defending her and saying that it’s not her fault, but I don’t know… I personally say that more needs to be done.
