I’m not sure he wants it to work out. He was wildly intolerant of his family’s opinions about me. He tried to make us fly back like an hour after he stormed out of the house. So it’ll be…interesting to see if this works.

Of course. We won’t go straight from here to there. We don’t have a place yet, and I’d have to pack up and sell my apartment. No worries there. We’ll be home soon, I can meet her then. Trust me, I wouldn’t miss anymore time than I already have.

No, I think when someone outright calls you a “cheap whore,” that’s a pretty obvious stance they’ve taken.

Exactly. We were both really happy there. And there’s great nursing programs at the big universities. He can do his writing, I’ll get to go to school, we’ll be around all the crazy Gallagher’s… It’ll be good.
