Gouache color wheels. I used only 3 colors, one yellow, one red, and one blue, for each wheel, blending two colors to create the oranges, greens and violets.

Cross of life, where spirit meets the physical and life springs up.
I was sitting in a parking lot and started drawing… first time with scenery since before I could draw at all. I’m proud of the lamppost lmao
This is a prototype for a series of 8 tiny paintings I will be showing at a local Houston gallery, Hardy & Nance Studios. They do this tiny show each year. They post on insta all the time.
More business card paintings.

Small paintings (4x6") I am giving out as business cards. I attach an uplifting quotation to the back along with my website address.
"Intuition" acrylic and collage on 10x8" cradled wood panel. I find joy and peace in making art. We all need an activity that supports our mental health. ❤️
Two small (10x8") collage pieces I worked on today. Acrylic and paper on canvas board.
Re-creating a painting I did in the 1990s, using matte acrylic paint, in my mixed media sketchbook.
Almost finished! I like SoFlat, so far (snicker).
Re-creating an old painting using Golden SoFlat acrylics on a mixed media pad by Canson. I have never used Golden SoFlat before, and it really does flow on very smoothly even in a thick application. This painting, A Chair for Matisse, was done in the mid-1990s.

Making collage papers: Four 9x12" sheets of tissue paper done using the gel plate, fluid acrylics and masks made by cutting shapes from plastic dividers used in 3-ring binders.
I searched for Gulf of Mexico on Google Maps and this is what came up: Gulf of America; I tried to comment but Google said no. I live 36 miles from the Gulf.
Collage sketchbook today, 11x17", acrylic and collage.

Progress, hexagram 35 of the I Ching. The image is the sun rising above the earth. I wanted to paint something hopeful about Light; that it always returns. I tried to find an alternative to Instagram because of the recent changes but so far, nothing is quite right. I hope you are all doing well.
